I admire the bravery. A long cold walk if he crashes. Terrain looks like North East Ohio. where I drive in the winter. I think I can beat Andy in My Dodge Caravan ! But then I have driven the NordSchleife many times on XBox ! :) Really fun film, wonderful to see and very nice production and edit. Bravo 1 tell Andy when He comes to Ohio in the Winter I know some good roads! !

@Manflesh300 well these need speed and grip to warm the tires and brakes. it was -16 on snow and ice with 500+ hp with bad brakes and no grip

Have a little bit of fun - and get some research in at the same time. He probably tried many different tires and car setups while driving around the snow covered track.

How come tires and wheels are different on the scene when pit out and when driving? Changed to deep tread pattern tires and it has good LSD so no surprise.

I love when ppl say "Driving a Formula 1 race car around a snow-covered track? Sounds like fun!". Then just thinking about do these ppl actually know anything about Formula-1? This car is no where near to a F1 car. But looks fun anyway.

@Fr4nkWh1te Grand-Prix-Track and Nordschleife can be combined to 1 big track - so it is 1 video - before the Grand-Prix-Track was built (1984) the "Betonschleife" was there and combined the old nordschleife and the südschleife.

I think the video is a compilation of a few different runs. I think the first 1/3 was the same instance, but then it obviously changes with tire tread and video perspectives.

I thought "Snowitude"(Solitude) was crazy enough. SnowSchleife? Wow,,,

You know theres no grip when the main straight and pitlain are no longer straight lol. . . Awesome driving, shame about the continuity errors with the different wheels on the car . . .

@bosshunterman you won't get a try , cuz on the deeper snow that is on the track , not the 2 mm thats in front of the pits you'll just spin it till it hit the asphalt then he goes some then hits another snow bank and so on ... It would be such a strugle .

It's not the nordschleife. It's the grand prix track. That's what "nordschleife" refers to -- the part that is not the grand prix track.

he might have problems with getting his tyres on temperature :D

@dansus99 Yeah but not that much , cuz he only went at around 40km/h or 25mph at its top so the little drift he got was only fun . Now imagine the fun in a 4WD Formula Car :D I'll built one of those formula car for myself and it will look just like this , god its a beautifull car :D

this is just stupid... then again thats what i said before i took my 530i out in the snow for some public road drifting at 2 in the morning... so its still awesome

OK, so I have to admit this video almost fooled me when I first watched it. How can a formula car (or any car!) go triple-digit speeds on snow and especially in single-digit temperatures when everything is iced up!? Well, they sort of cheated!! Check OneHotLap's site for the tire pictures comparison - they basically swapped the r-comps with snow tires for the fast lap.

That's not mph here and all ppl don't drive like american xD
