Fucking for real chief, i just recently discovered tommy wright and Memphis rap. I dont normally Listen rap, but from the influence of my uncle as kid, i have a nostalgic love for 90s rap, especially chop and screw. But you dont ever hear beats like this anymore. Izs angelic and horror at the same time. Also has the early video game level or boss fight Musical feel to it. Something on an old n64 or nes

in tommy's own words at a show i helped him put together "Mane all i remember for that beat was i used to get alot of cats around the way to bring equipment borrowed or rented from family members, uncles etc (alot of uncs in memphis were apart of some type of band in the 70's-80's) most of the synthesizers i used were either from Freetoe's Studios or Chaz/Zae from A.R.P. before the fallout after S.O.H. gave tommy his deal & connections to equipment such as synths, drum machine, samplers etc as for the drum machine he used he touched a little on how his go to's were a DR-660 or a DR-5" thats all i got
