I love how supporting the parents of kuea is- even the grandparents- but *IF* Hia doesn't love Kuea, it does seems like they're forcing him to love and take care of Kuea. The Annabelle part is just so funny to me, Kuea sure hold grudges lol

Now, I get it where Kuea said this phrase "Where there is love, there is also pain" at the end of this series. 😅 I miss their crazy gang of friends.

I’d say on a ground level, Hia & Kuea’s relationship together is ACTUALLY healthy. At the very least, they both care for each other deeply but both have difficulties showing/portraying how they feel towards each other. On a deeper level, Kuea’s childhood is understandable that he’s being overly pampered, he only has his family & Hia. Which lead him to always going with whatever Hia likes & wanting to make Hia happy but forgetting himself in the equation. Hia seem to have that subtle “tension & pressure” to himself from their families being engaged at a young age & being the only other person that Kuea really cares & loves for. But it also seem that Hia wants Kuea to do things that Kuea likes too, not always having to do whatever Hia likes as that can be extremely platonic and or one-sided. Eitherway the fact that i’m analzying this means that i’m hooked onto this series since EP 1 🤣😭❤️

4:17 I think that's from when Lian actually started to feel the pressure in taking care of Kuea. I feel like He agreed to the engagement cuz he did have feelings for Kuea but the expectations they keep on Lian to look after Kuea can be a little tiring and pressuring. I feel like even Lian has a side that Kuea does not know of...the more relaxed, flirty, and enjoying side that Lian prolly had to give up to be the perfect guy who can take care of Kuea. Both need to really discover each other. In a relationship, it can't be one person always looking after the other. Lian will also need the care from Kuea. Also I love how despite being hurt and sad and deciding to call off the engagement, Kuea still keeps the ring saying he'll take it off when they officially calls off the engagement. Poor baby no matter what he says still wants Lian and the happiness from seeing the ring on his finger. I'm so glad they are showing past scenes inbetween and the start of Kuea's and Diao's friendship. It gives more depth to the story when they build the story and scenes for every relationship on the screen. Even the freshman celebration where he meets his college friends. Its so well done.

why are Kuea's parents doing this? talk of Lian being his guardian, taking care of him not as 'brother' but as 'life partner'? given the age gap and all, encouraging them to see each other as _brothers_ would be the obvious choice. why enforcing on them the concept of 'life partners'? if they feel that way, let them come to this conclusion themselves

Last episode was how media uses the LGBTQ+ community just for clout and not for representation and how they should take reaponsability onto what they do, and this episode is about how closed-minded society is, I think this details are so worth it.

I feel I understand now why Hia Lian is like this to Nuea. It seems that he wants to start all over again and decide for his own what he wants to do with Nuea without the notion that he must do things just because Nuea's parents demanded it from him. He loves Nuea but he can't seem to show it properly without making it seem like it's his duty due to his promise. That scene with Nuea's parents says it all when he decided "Okay I will take your son on dates every Friday then". I'm sure inside his head, he wants to do those things voluntarily out of his own good intentions to Nuea and not because it was dictated by someone else.

14.24 the disappointment on Kuea's face when he lost the game and had no excuse he could use to call Lian! 😂 He's so cute.

his drum's skill is pure talent yall

So I'm seeing that Lian was placed in the position to be Kuea's keeper ever since he was born. So, who is Lian without the existence of Kuea? Lian's only existence is to babysit the precious son of this family so much so that Lian's whole life has been decided for him which is basically to be the servant protector per say of Kuea. Maybe this is why Lian thinks he is not in love. He hasn't experienced meeting the person and having butterflies and all the magical feeling of falling in love instead he has always known his future was to get married and skip the magical part. Kuea is hurting but Lian is not completely the mean one it's the situation the family made that is hurting them both.

Mandee Channel is claiming its throne this year. Cutie Pie series is perfectly made and produce. Plus the chemistry and Ost. I can't ask for more but I am sure they will still give us moreeeee and moreee raaawwrrr.

the acting in this series is amazing, along with the music, visuals and general production quality! it's amazing that this kind of thing isn't on Netflix

This drama proves that sometimes they love u for what you are not who you are like like Huia's feelings raised up after the video of his partner playing drums 🥁

Great beginning. This episode is filling in a lot of the blanks as far as Kuea"s history with Diao and Lian. I think anyone would be really happy to have such a truly good friend as Diao. Although outwardly still defiant and furious at being belittled and disappointed by Lian, Kuea still is ambivalent in his resolve to not contact Lian. His pride is hurt and he's tired on not being himself. The pressures both Lian and Kuea face since Kuea's birth are all contributing to the true instability of the relationship since each must behave contrary to their true natures. Everything was perfect, the venue, the pace of the storyline, the direction, etc. Kudos to all. Blessed be from Winnie halfway around the world. ❤💯
