While there are distinctions between categories, "Nara Tide" itself seems to attempt to break the boundaries between them, reflecting the contemporary nature of art that constantly challenges and transcends categorizations, geographical divisions, and cultural differences. 展覽涉及繪畫、書法、雕塑、攝影、裝置、工藝、現代水墨、藝術實驗等多種形式的多種文化背景下的藝術創作，雖有類別之分但「奈良潮」本身所具有的當代性似乎又試圖打破類別之間的界限。正如當代藝術在不斷打破不同藝術類別之間的界限，甚至所有存在的邊界，無關東西、無關南北、也無關差異文化。奈良潮展覽運動正在這樣一種進程之中。每當集體活動開啟時獨立意識會受到集體意識的挑戰，奈良潮敢於面對挑戰，尊重獨立意識、注重內涵演繹，堅持一切從想像出發⋯
