Yes, he is very knowledgeable! Looking forward to going back there with him and learning even more.
Thank you for showing us more of the train show tables, vendors, & merchandise, and exhibits at the museum. Trey was an excellent tour guide and knows his train history. I wish I attended the “Streamliners at Spencer,” NC 4 day event back in 2014. It was an event that featured over 25 historic diesel and steam locomotives with the classic paint schemes! I look forward to seeing your next train video. As always they’re well produced and a pleasure to watch! Safe travels.

Thanks for bringing us along Lisa! I visited the NC Transportation Museum / Spencer Shops back in 1990 and I'm amazed at the progress they've made since then. The grounds weren't anywhere near as nice as your video shows and the backshop where that train show was being held wasn't much more than a ruin at the time. I'll have to get back there sometime but who knows when? Thanks again! Love your enthusiasm!

Wow! So interesting to hear about how it used to be. I never visited in the 90s, but today, they have lots of events and it's quite well done, as you saw. Thanks for your nice comment and the info on the museum's evolution : )

Gotta say, Trey did a good job giving you a tour around the property. Certainly knows more about the Museum’s automotive collection then what I do, even though between him and I, I’m the one who volunteers there down at Spencer. Guess that’s a point deduction on my part. Anyways, I’m glad you enjoyed yourself at NCTM, and I’m glad you’re wanting to make a return visit. Might have to try and be down there during your next visit so you can get the insider perspective of an active volunteer there.

That’s so neat that you’re a volunteer there! It might be next year before I’m back there, but I will definitely be back. As I said in the episode, a lot more to see and learn, and I’m sure you could also add an interesting perspective.

I hope that even with the very knowledgeable train folks out there, that when they watch one of my episodes, there is something new learned or seen, or a new perspective or bit of inspiration experienced. Really glad to hear your feedback, and thankful for Trey‘s tour, of course. I hadn’t even known that there were RPO cars before, etc etc! Always something to learn!

socalrailway.org/scrm-events/hot-august-nights/ I went to car shows with my dad when I was a kid and he displayed his classic Corvette. And obviously I have an interest in trains. And you might not know I’m a professional Salsa (and Country) dancer. So learning about this event made my eyes bright with excitement 🤩 Looking forward to it! 🎶🚂💃🏽
