Mzansi Youth Choir deliver inspired version of Nightbirde smash, 'It's Ok'.
Nightbirde took the world by storm in America’s Got Talent with her captivating voice, authentic presence, bright smile, and upbeat attitude. Her performance of “It’s OK” on the global TV show went viral and inspired millions of people across the world through an emotional experience, and realism combined with a positive and hopeful attitude. “Some people will call it ‘blind denial’ but I prefer to call it rebellious hope,” wrote the singer on her Twitter page recently.
“Inspired by her incredible determination and positive view on life, we have made this cover, dedicating it to Nightbirde, to all those who have and are still battling cancer, and to those who have lost their loved ones to the fight of cancer,” said Sidumo Nyamezele, music director of the Mzansi Youth Choir.
Nightbirde auditioned for the 16th season of America's Got Talent (AGT) in 2021. Simon Cowell awarded her a golden buzzer for her performance of her original song "It's OK." The song reached No. 1 on iTunes and No. 2 on KZread's trending list. Her performance was one of the most moving moments in the history of a show known for moving moments. Nightbirde was diagnosed with cancer in her lungs, spine, and liver before performing on AGT, with an expected 2% chance of survival. Marczewski withdrew from the competition after the auditions, claiming a worsening of her health and the need to focus on her battle with cancer. Her inspiring philosophies such as “You can't wait until life isn't hard anymore before you decide to be happy” and “Don’t you want to see what happens if you don’t give up?” has given us all a sense of hope in our own stories. The custom cover art for the cover by the Mzansi Youth Choir has special symbolic meanings: the stage lights represent Nightbirde's discovery of her voice and ascension to stardom whilst the Golden Buzzer she received is represented by the white and silver sparkles. Because an eagle flies higher than any other bird, it is a symbol of “Rebellious Hope”. The eagle represents Nightbirde and her journey to continue to soar through her battle with her ignited inspiration.
“Nightbirde has become a symbol of courage, poise, beauty, and inspiration. In times of adversity, her voice was the voice that people all across the world, including us, needed to hear. We send prayers and much love to Nightbirde. You have taught us all to be brave,” added Sidumo Nyamezele, music director of the Mzansi Youth Choir.

This is fantastic. I think I liked their arrangement and distribution of lead voices in the AGT version a bit more, but this is great too. Nice tribute to Jane Nightbirde. Thank you Mzani.
I am Japanese. When I heard Nightbird sing on America's Got Talent, I cried. When I heard that she had passed away, I was filled with despair. Thank you again, Nightbird, for letting us know that your actions left a wonderful song in this world.

This version is more choral and deep, while their AGT performance was brighter and relied more heavily on choreo. Love them both. So glad Nightbirde had the strength to share this song before she left us.

This song already was so emotional, but you guys add a whole new layer of life to it. Jane would cry if she heard and watched this. Its so beautiful!!!! You have the perfect blend of solem yet free and energetic energy. The dance was gorgeous. It really added to it all. This whole preformance would make her proud. Amazing job guys!! I hope you keep the song in your main set lists when you preform. A beautiful peice preformed beautifuly. 💗

It sounds fantastic and you paid a wonderful tribute to Jane. I think however the creme de la creme was your audition at AGT. That was perfection in lead vocals, harmonies and dance moves. It was pure art.
