Overall yes although I could argue 2012 leo, april and splinter are stronger then their rise counter parts besides there is no contest.

@@Aibadenshi the case can be made for rise leo to be the strongest version but you can only give him durability and speed advantage due to portals and teleports but 2012 leo is more skilled in multiple forms of combat, stealth, is much smarter, as well as a healing ability to to keep up with rise Leo's durability. And let's not forget that 2012 leo has dealt with a wider variety of opponents so he wouldn't be surprised by rise Leo's weapon.

Him reaching inside of his own chest to pull himself out and then throw himself was so damn cool

Ya know, for the himbo Lancer type, Raph has never been a better version of himself than in this show. Supportive of his brothers in a unique way, plays his role as tank super well, uses his powers in genuinely creative and innovative ways, and never seems to be Warfed. At minimum in this compilation he is consistently dealing massive damage to the main target, and the actual coreography of the combat gives him a massive level of skill not really shown in other versions. Or even half of all modern media.

This entire series was interesting cause it was different like making Raphael the leader or the fact the brother are all different species of turtle, the powers and the stronger enemies lile how broken the krang is in the movie

And unlike the other versions my man just kept on hitting! Even if it didn't do appreciable damage, even Leo struggles in other versions to even distract Shredder. Let alone tick him off to the degree Raph does.

I hate that we never really got to see the whole Raphael shadow clone thing in the movie. It was really cool

which reminds me, what are the names of the other jutsu like: donnie's weapon recreation, leo's teleportation and raph's shadow clones?

I think its neat how they basically took sasukes susano, luffys stretchy big arm abilities, and jojo stand powers and combined all those for raphs mystic powers They really went full anime on that

Hopefully one day we’ll get a Rise Raph figure, that is large and transparent red plastic with a mini Raphael figure in the chest.

Big surprise, one of the most well choreographed and animated punches in 90% of fiction is your favorite. How original 😜 (I'm kidding it's totally an awesome scene that I will totally be stealing from if I ever find myself directing a show)

One of my favorite things about this series is the animation and how dynamic the fights and camera angles are 😆😆😆 They really let u see the action and don’t just fill the screen with random bursts of light and explosions 😁

Cause for some reason, even the super durable heros with a mystic mech never think to Fastball Special themselves when they need distance. Raph did something legitimately impressive even in the realm of fiction in terms of thinking on his feet.

Fun Fact: If you saw the series as well as the movie, you would’ve probably noticed that at 1:30 Shredder flung Ralph with no effort at all. Since it’s implied that the Krang had made the armor for Shredder in the first place, and also the fact that this also happens in the movie after Ralph’s attack was flung with no effort like in that scene shows that they were probably planning the Krang for Season 3, but we eventually got them in the movie instead

Late reply, but that's actually exactly what happened lol. The movie is essentially a heavily condensed version of what was supposed to be season 3, and the antagonist for season 4 was going to be the Rat King.

I prefer 2:58-3:13 and 3:14-3:33. He gave everything he possibly had to protect Karai, he didn't even care about those arcade games if it meant that she'd live! She didn't and you can see it on his face and theirs from the end of Part 2 and throughout 3. Great character work, especially when you remember that they only had 4 segments to work with.

From 2:10-2:56 is my favorite Mystic Raph moment

I like how Ralph’s weapon skills evolve from him learning to only make his fists more powerful to growing giant multiplying and stretching

raph really got to do the absolute coolest stuff with his powers through the series.

I’ll admit I’m a major fan of the 2012 version, and it will likely be my top version forever. But I do like the ‘Rise’ version, the monster of the week episodes are fairly weak, but the story driven ones are really good. theirs some things I think if blended with the 2012 ver would make the most epic lore for them.

This isn’t the first TMNT series that didn’t have Shredder as the main antagonist that goes to Ninja/Hero Turtles The Next Mutation which had the Dragon Lord and like Rise it did have other villains than the focusing on the main villain plus Michelangelo used Tonfas
