Tom Conway stars as Inspector Mark Saber, with his sidekick Sergeant Tim Maloney played by James Burke. In this case, people are just dropping dead, with no apparent reason. The Inspector and Sergeant must find the cause. Willie Best plays the inspectors butler. Look for a young Virginia Christine in this episode, who later was "Mrs. Olson" in the popular Folgers coffee commercials in the 1960's and 1970's. ABC Network. Transferred from 16mm b-w film. Willie Best was one of producer Roland Reed's favorite actors. He was also featured on Stu Erwin's "TROUBLE WITH FATHER" and "MY LITTLE MARGIE" (essentially portraying the same character).

Lester Dorr, the coroner, had a very long career, starting in 1930, until 1975. I've seen him in 8 movies on KZread: (I Wanted Wings (1941), Roar of the Press (1941), Stranger in Town (1943), Destroyer (1943), Roses Are Red(1947), Without Honor (1949), Quicksand (1950), Take the High Ground (1953), and now this TV show (1951). There are other TV episodes to be found on KZread. However, the issue with finding them is in how the person who shares these writes the Title? The way the Title appears for the episodes looks like this: MYSTER THEATER Starring TOM CONWAY as Inspector Mark Saber HOMICIDE SQUAD It was how I found more than one episode after this. Also; George Sanders and Tom Conway are brothers. Hollywood studio flipped a coin to see which one would change their name.

Actually that's the slogan of Maxwell House coffee. The company originally claimed the slogan goes back to Theodore Roosevelt, who had breakfast at the original Maxwell House hotel/restaurant in Nashville & raved about the coffee there. But later they admitted the slogan was written by a company employee.

It's hard to accept Tom Conway died penniless. Zsa Zsa Gabor paid for the costs of his final hospitalisation but Conway decided to up and go and return to his girlfriend's place where he became gravely sick in her bed and eventually died. Similar story happened to his brother, George Sanders.
