Mystery Ranch Quick Draw Rifle Sling - First Look
I just got my hands on my new rifle sling and thought I would share my first impressions. I can't wait to put this thing to the test this year and see how it holds up.

Good job on the review
Nice set up. Thanks for demoing it,
Pretty slick setup. Don't know how functional it would be with the bino pack though.
I've used that buckle going up and over the shoulder. It doesn't work loose and uses up all the slack. Just another way to use it
I gave you a thumbs up because you pronounced coyote correctly.
☆☆☆That extra strap is☆☆☆ NOT☆☆☆ for securing your rifle to your pack, it's a bicep sinch so you can get better support in the off hand(no bipod) shooting positions, put it around your non-trigger FINGER bicep sinch in place & try holding your rifle in offhand & free standing, you'll be amazed @ the support & how steady for more accurate shots you can be.

When I saw the sling at the beginning of the video that's exactly what I thought it was for, not as a retention strap.
Sounds good, but it would block the use of your binos, especially if they were in a case like FHF Gear or Kuiu, or MR bino cases. I'll check it out in Bozeman, but to me half the reason I'd use something like this or the Kifaru Gunbearer is to be able to glass a ton as well, while having both hands free to operate your binos, along with being able to carry a spotter and tripod in one hand. Most times, you don't need immediate access to your rifle if it's a little open, hunting the prairie, etc. Almost got it, but it's not quite what I'd be looking for personally.
level the sternum strap on the rifle so as to have it pull horizontally across from the rifle sling, or even higher to keep the rifle from falling down when bounced.
Thx for the nice review
Some soft Velcro unto the strap with the roughest side outside the pack strap might prevent slipping.
Yeah, nicely designed and made but i still prefer the Kifaru Gun Bearer.
They could have coated the connectors with rubber / plastic grippy material, it will lose the clicking noise when attaching and detaching the rifle from the sling.
I find this system still slides off my should pretty easily. The only thing I have that kind of works is to pull the chest strap all the way tight, then put the pack chest strap over it too. It sort of works but makes the quick access feature not usable. Any suggestions? I find all other solutions either awkward or that they slide off. I need two hands often as I am in mountainous terrain or using binos, etc. I might try the velcro idea. Thanks in advance.
Wow. Same rifle as mine
I have seen videos where they carried the rifle upside down under the arm pit. Have you tried that???
Just got this and would you believe the knuckle heads put the buckle on the sling pointing left. Great if i was left handed and slung my rifle over my left shoulder. Now its time to try to figure out how to remove it without breaking any plastic parts and put it pointing right.
have u had a chance to use this in field....i still wonder if it moves around a lot or if it wants to slip off your shoulder
Hello good sir I bought a leather sling and it was the ends of it already looped as if it was on the rifle already so do I take it apart and slip it through as you did or no Iam very new and dumb to things like this.
Im a huge fan of MR, but, i like the Kifaru design better.

Yep I do. Gunflint Designs
What pack is that
I just made a DIY that cost me 10$ works the same lmao 🤣
Try our Gun Commander, much better concept and will keep your rifle in place and not slip off your shoulder
