It's touchy looking at the Mahal. No one knows why and how? I feel not laziness made her not work, probably her soul from the ancestors wasn't ready to take this much she waited, then ended up her life peacefully with no drama. Someone who doesn't want to work, lazy or laid back will never prefer to stay in such solitude area

I feel very sorry ,rather empathetic about Hon. Nawab wajid Ali Shah and his family. Nawab sahab had never supported Britishers in fact he's supported 1857's freedom fight which's mocked by Britisher's as Sepoy Mutiny. Nawab Sahab and his great grand children were educated,cultured and donated a lot. Nawab Sahab's great poet and kathak dancer and actor. "Babul mora Naihar chhoota jayein".. this famous song was written by him. And his wife Begum Hazarat Mahal ,Hon. wife of Nawab Wajit Ali and friend of Zansi ki Rani Laxmibai was kine and she had a zanana fuz or all women army.She participated in the freedom fight of 1857 and unfortunately lost the battle. nawab sahab's captured and taken to some place near Kolkotta andas he's grief stricken soon died. The Nawab's family was not in good books of Britshers like the other Royal families such as Burdwan, Jaipur etc.So they're paid very less amount as pension. Ali raza tried very hard but couldn't get proper job. They wanted to be left alone because being real "khandaani" they hated sympathy from commoners. They emptied all their savings till death came as an end. One should be very Proud and Thankful of late Nawab Wajid Ali Shah.Urdu scholar ,patriot and giving fame and glory to Lucknow or Awadh .Once upon a time Lucknow was famous all over the world for culture and excellent mannerism of people. During his reign ..Even the Paan waala used to be educated and cultured enough to write good couplets.

Before partition the head of this family was Registrar of Aligarh College. He was from Sialkot. After partition they came to Pakistan and claimed to be royals of the princely state. The lady even slapped a prime minister when granted appointment. She was imprisoned for six months in a mental hospital. After that she went to India making tall claims. After filing a case she occupied the first class waiting room for years at a railway station. The merciful court allowed them to stay at the railway station. After years when their claim was rejected they were allowed to live in this abandoned mansion.

I like the at style of the anchor, he is very good. Anchor said it right when he said that when you build your future you must do something for others also. Who ever sided or were against the British rule, did it for their own interests, the line which divides them is very thin and hard to find out. Both parties suffered. This family had a chance to prove that they are indeed from royal family if only they had help others and interacted with the out side world. I hope all that is left behind in Malcha Mahal, especially the letters and written manuscript are taken care off and recorded.
