Deng Xiaoping was the chairman of the CCP, which reacquired Hong Kong under Chinese rule in 97. The whole thing seems like a political statement in bad taste.

I didn’t expect this video to hit so close to home. In the beginning of the video I thought “oh wow it looks like a war video, maybe it’s from Bosnia” especially being from 1992 but when you said it I was genuinely shocked. I’m Bosnian and my parents are survivors of the war. Seeing someone from that time who was unfortunately most likely murdered shook me but at least now there’s some recognition as to it’s occurrence.

my theory is that the game creator just found a random dead person image for the "death animation" (if u would call it that) for the enemy, and for you when you die too its the same. probably just his weird idea of a death screen for a game over. like in GTA when you die you lose, you get shot up and ur avatar dies. but because its such old technology and they claim the game was made in a week, this was his easy solution to show a dead enemy / u died

Those "death files" is a brazilian production that was pretty easy to find back in the 90s. i remenber book stores openly having copies for sale. One of my oldest traumas as a kid was finding one of them and simply looking at the box.

While watching this video, I was reminded of another video game mystery: the so-called "eye symbol". It was this thing where this symbol kept appearing in a bunch of unrelated games, and people had to put a code together from pieces found in each game. Definitely not as creepy as a dead body, but still interesting nonetheless.

Wait, why are people so obsessed with the fact that there appears to be an image of a real corpse on the game over screen, but nowhere in this entire video/investigation does it aknowledge the fact that during the intro, Jackie Chan's image is clearly imposed on top of an image of a gruesome stack of emaciated corpses? Why did nobody seem to notice, discuss, or investigate that image? You can see it at 7:14

I'm glad you noticed that, too. There's two death-sprites for the enemies, one is a nuke-mushroom and the other is the same picture as the offending gameover screen, just in a much lower resolution. It's the same dead person, still people only get offended by the larger picture.

abc 123 you have to find the reuploads since she took them all down. Not all of them are reuploaded though, it sucks. They are all REALLY good though if you are into really disturbing stuff.

What about the huge stack of corpses behind 'Chin' at 7:15? That's an image of victims of Ohrdruf Concentration Camp, you can find an image of the same scene online, this looks to be from a slightly different angle but definitely the same scene. Seems to me that the game designer was looking at the 'gore' clips that were around in the early internet for sources. I can only find a date of 2006 for the 'Death File' videos. EDIT: The exact Ohrdruf shot is found in the original 'Faces of Death'.

I wish I could remember who. But one of the youtuber's actually got a hard copy of the game and talked to the only man that worked on it. He just grabbed images from the news paper and magazines that he had on hand when he quickly threw the game together. It's been a fair while since I watched it. As I recall he was working at a Traveling Salesman at the time of making it.

Pretty sure he was watching Death File while making the game but it’s kind of a rare video to find. Whether or not that’s what actually happened, who knows?

I swear Nexpo, Nick Crawley, and Mr. Ballen are the best scary story tellers. Love it and great video as usual and i want more lol.
