Spooky Spigot facts: it's been there for over forty years. In the same place, doing it's spooky thing. I remember seeing it with my Mother when I was a child. It was still held up by the copper wires, and I believe it "emptied" into a wooden barrel. The little pond and rubber reptiles are more recent additions, I assume. We saw the entire place, I do have vague memories of that, but what stuck with me all these years was that damn spigot, and suddenly there it was, in all it's glorious spookism. Thanks for the entertainment, and thanks for reminding me, if only for a moment, of a much better time in my life. Spooky Spigot forever!

It's not the same type of attraction, but we have a "Mystery Hill" up here in New England, as well. It's also billed as "America's Stonehenge," and if you're ever up this way It's worth a stop just for its contentious history.

I am kicking myself so much right now. I almost went to Dead People Stuff yesterday, I live 20 minutes from it and I've always hoped one day I could run into you somewhere around here since you live not far from here and yesterday could have been the day 😭 I ended up not going and went to work on my costume instead at a local haunt that I would LOVE for you to come visit, I know you'd love it.

Man I remember when I was little I went to an aquarium that had a bull riding thing, there was a big group of teens/young adults on it and I was having the time of my life watching them. In the middle of it thought the buildings power went out and we were all locked inside since there was a massive flash flood outside, parking lot was flooded. Still a fun time though, really wish I could remember where that was

I always think of Mystery Hill as my first roadside attraction, interesting to see that it hasn’t changed nearly at all in the past 20 years. Never knew that the arrowhead collection was 2nd biggest to Smithsonian. I remember when the tours weren’t guided, but at least they still let you have your personal time away from the guide. Something always kept me coming back here as a kid.

When I was 15, my uncle killed himself. I couldn't bear going to the funeral, so to try and make me feel better and help make the day easier, my dad and step mom took me here (we live about 1-1/2 away). We also went to Grandfather Mount and crossed the mile high bridge. It definitely helped me forget for just a little while and they made sure to make my day as special and fun as they possibly could. I'll never forget that. This place is very special to me, and I can't wait to take my kids this Summer! I hope I can make their day at least half as fun as it was for me. Thank you for sharing!!!!!!

It's like an arrowhead quilt!! It's fabulous how there are so many different sizes n shapes n materials the arrowheads are made of, then arranged in patterns like an old fashioned quilt pattern within the framed squarest n rectangles, then those are arranged next to each other on different coloured boards to create that " Quilted Effect""" my Grandmother Locher used to actually make from scratch quilts using saved scraps of different patterns, sizes, n coloured material n incorporated into an old fashioned quilt pattern., Of which there are many registered patterns throughout the centuries in Early Americana collections!!! Wonderfully fascinating to me!!! Loved 😍 Mystery Hill as well!!! The guide was extremely entertaining!!!! So were you as you demonstrated the various effects of the gravity n magnet vortex!!! Attaboy, Carpetbagger!!!

Great video! My mother in law was born up in the those Appalachian mountains in Kentucky. Her home had a dirt floor and her mom would sweep the floor every day with different designs. He mom also liked her snuff. Her pops was a preacher and a moonshine because preaching did not pay all the bills so he did the moon shining as a way to pay the bills. My hubby told me everytime they went back to Kentucky she would always know if there was a still close because she could smell that mash. Then there is a place up by KC it is on a dirt road and locals call it gravity road you put your car in neutral and your car literally rolls up the hill. I did not believe at first but I was there I believe. If you would like I can try to ask some of my college friends where thar was at and send it to ya. Those places are amazing and fun. So did you go back in to thT store and purchase it???

We used to ride the mechanical bulls in the country bars in Michigan in the 1980's,n we had to sign a waiver in case of injury n pay $2 a ride. It became popular after the movie the Urban Cowboy came out in the late 1970's or early 1980's, starring John Travolta n Debra Winger n myriad country n western stars showcased at Mickey Gilleys bar in Texas. It is a classic n you should watch it sometime, especially since you had the courage to ride!!! Attaboy Plus One, Carpetbagger!!!

They should have instructed you that you were not sitting up far enuf on the back of the bull!!! This is a mellow bull compared to the ones we had in the country bars in Michigan, it actually swiveled n spun n bucked, n you held one arm up like bull riders in the rodeo for balance n held in with the other hand and your thighs!!! I was actually very good at it, but I spent a lot of $2 fees every night in the bar, n signed a lot of injury waivers to get that way!! For no instruction you did a good job just staying on!!!
