Mysterious Scottish Pictish Stones | Geometry, Symbolism & a South American Enigma | Megalithomania

An exploration of various standing stone decorated with sophisticated relief carvings, intricate geometry, unique symbolism and a look at the unusual (and speculative) connection to some megalith sites in South America such as Pukara and Tiwanaku. Hugh Newman visits carved stones outdoors, in churchyards and in various museums, highlighting the remarkable skill of the Picts of Northern Scotland who ruled at the same times as the Druids of England and Wales, two thousand years ago. The Picts (Painted Ones), were a confederation of tribal

warriors who tattooed their entire bodies. It is thought they originated in Orkney, after arriving from Scythia (Iran and eastern Europe), and then slowly headed south. They carved stunning symbols onto stone and often came together to fight outside enemies. They established themselves in small communities made up of families belonging to a single clan that was presided over by a tribal chief. These clans were known as Caerini, Cornavii, Lugi, Smertae, Decantae, Carnonacae, Caledonii, Selgovae and Votadini. The Picts, according to Roman historian Tacitus in 83 AD, were known as “Caledonians.” Tacitus records their physical characteristics as having “red hair” and “long limbs.” Numerous battles with Roman Legions ensued in later times, and got to a point where Hadrian, in 122 AD, ordered the construction of a great wall running from the west to the east coast to keep them out. Even today 10% of Scottish people are directly descended from the Picts and their legacy is still on display.

I have spent a lot of time in Scotland visiting the old sites of which there are hundreds. I used to love listening to the old folklore. I find it interesting that words are still used in our current dialect that actually mean the locals were describing something we do not see today. "Isle of Wight" Wight is old English for Undead but Tolkien actually had an argument for the word actually meaning "Giant". I suppose megalith structures would actually be quite small to Giants.

Another connection between Scotland and Ireland with south America is reidheids or red hair found on some of the elongated Skulls. Another great video/work Hugh Weel din !

I have a picture in a Scotland book of of Pictish stone from angus and definitely looks very sumerian, anunnaki, ancient Egyptian sun with spirals and “3 men” another really interesting thing in Scotland is the artifacts of the Macleod Dunvegan castle of Skye. There is the fairy flag which seems and has been said to have ancient magic Arabic letters and seems to check out, the symbols on the Dunvegan cup seem to be Persian Arabic, Egyptian origins too. You can also see them on Wikipedia, I have a MacLeod friend, he has many family members in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I am doing some local research and it has yield some results already. I is hard to think they are only nicely eroded rocks. Greetings from Slovenia!

I agree. Some of the stones I've found in the river here in Scotland come up as Native American Indigenous tools if I screenshot them and then press search. I'm guessing we were all connected long before history tells us to tell you the truth...and that is just from personal observations and intuition. All very interesting to me.

Hello, In 5:30 i see a fingerprint over the stone. The upper left corner of the stone has the beginning of an embossed part that goes towards the right part of the stone. The engraved details are of identical depth. If you follow that recessed part, it starts to come back and resembles a finger.👀👀 Great video..👍👍

VIBRATION, FREQUENCY, ORBS. Everything is in constant motion. We each dance to our own, unique, NATURAL, asymmetrical rhythms, and our individual reactions to all other things is predicated on how closely synchronized various rhythms are. It’s a veritable asymmetrical, spontaneous ballet being played out across the vast ether of infinity…..dance on !!!.

There are doubts in my mind to the authenticity of some of these Pic tish stones. On one hand you have extremely weathered stones whose simple designs and border are bare llegible, and on the other we've extremely intricate designs filling the entire stones surfaces, which appear in 'perfect condition. These are notable differences, so far apart to one another that they look at odds/inconsistent with each other. Let's be honest artifacts that look like they were carved just yesterday, probably were.
