What I like about Cyrus is he didn't want world domination. He wanted to eradicate spirit, and the only way to do that was to start over from scratch. He felt that Spirit could become corrupt, that it was incomplete and not perfect. He wanted to create a calculative world where everything made sense all the time.

Currently trapped in the distortion world with only a pair of earbuds. Thank you.

Cyrus is one of my favorite characters, and I can just feel him sitting in the Distortion World. I always have wanted to live in the Distortion World

Master Cyrus gives the Pokemon franchise kind of a dark vibe for some reason. Love the art!

The Giratina swooping around in the background every now and then is the cherry on top! Lovely artwork, animations and playlist!

Distortion World is definitely one of the greatest soundtracks and I like the atmosphere of it the dread of being alone in a voidless dimension with Giratina the Distortion World is a Liminal Space of its it's own especially since its familiar considering I started with Pokemon Platinum back then.

I never thought I’d be so amazed by a playlist video but here we are. I’m so used to seeing people use fitting but stolen/completely uncredited artwork for these things, so finding out that you yourself actually drew this was such a shock. It’s extremely atmospheric, and the animations fit so well! On top of that, the playlist also fits together really well; there’s some really good transitions here! Great work!

no doubt. he made his dream come true. There is a world out there where there is no emotion, no pain, no crime. ... But his ultimate goal was to transform the entire world into an emotionless world. It's a failure in that sense.

There was an expression in the Japanese Diamondpearl TV anime that, after he entered the New World, sucked everything down and wiped it out.

I always found Cyrus's story in DPP tragic. He was never able to find happiness and believe that there couldn't be any in this world, so he sought to find ways to other worlds which he could. In the end that darkness which he always lived with swallowed him whole. I may be getting things wrong about his story in DPP but I still think he's one of the best villains in the series.

Yes, he is. he didnt want to reach giratina because he didnt even know about him. He wanted to create a new universe. However, actually, what he was really doing is just go back to how existence was before arceus brought everything to misery.

I think it's so cool how you can see Cyrus breathing... don't know if that makes me a creep or not. Probably does, I just thought it was a nice little detail.

@@cheddarsunchipsyes8144 Thank you! :) The main reason I made it is because I couldn't find a compilation quite like the one this is. There's plenty of compilations of sad, happy, battle etc pokemon music (which is fine!) but I wanted a mood that was a bit more .. specific, I guess? (and it gave me an excuse to compile some of my personal faves)

Cyrus just sitting there is so disturbing to me. Yes, he is right where he wants to be but like…. Hell… you are in hell sir. You are in a liminal space, this is a bridge to where you should be, why are you just… sitting there.

This playlist just reinforces how good X/Y could have been if it had had enough dev time. The whole soundtrack is a banger and it set the gold standard for 3D mainline Pokemon. I can honestly say that if Pokemon Z had come to be, it would probably be one of the best games in the series

Hearing Anistar city for the first time in years revitalized a part of me I never knew I had and blew me with a wave of nostalgia that was so beautiful I shed a tear

This is a happy ending until u realize Cyrus doesnt have any food and I doubt that upside down flowing water is drinkable.

Some berries probably fell in there at some point during the hisuian spacetime distortions. Maybe some weird new varieties are on some of those floating islands.

D/P/Pl had the most mystical aspect in a Pokemon game paired with amazing music!

not the PMD music making me cry :’) there’s so many hidden gems in pokémon’s osts, it’s nice to hear so many of them together in one video. plus each song flows into the next perfectly. i absolutely love this playlist ^-^

God, I wish I could play through the distortion world. Like, I don’t care about actually playing the entirety of Platinum; The new stuff doesn’t excite me all that much. I just- wanted to see what the distortion world was like. Pokémon DPP are my all time favourite Pokémon games as of now so I feel cheated that I couldn’t experience the full vibes of that gen and, naturally, when you add a new element to the friggen ending of the main story of the game, it comes off as an important retcon. I mean, whether it adds anything or not. I’ve never seen proper gameplay from the climax of Platinum. I still love Diamond, but goddamnit.

Damn I just got hit by a fat wave of nostalgia. Especially platinum and bw. The two that that stick out to me the most are the dragonspiral tower theme from unova and the night Pokémon league theme from Sinnoh. I remember going to the Pokemon league and just leaving my ds on so I could listen to that song and same for the dragonspiral tower. Also thanks for reminding me of how amazing the mystery dungeon soundtrack is!
