hiya! obviously i cant speak for OP but generally if you get top surgery without drains there’s a chance of fluids building up which you could end up having to get a second procedure to drain, so most people just get drains from the start to be safe! + a lot of surgeons make drains a requirement to ensure no second procedure will be needed :)
