BTW, these stats are so not true about CPM. I have videos with 89$ CPM.... It's also based on the message in the video, the words in the title itself.. It's not based on niche alone. Also, with 2 ads skippable at the beginning of a video- 1 ad would be based on what the video is about, the other would be based on what the user is seeing in general... Like on a video for opening a shop a viewer can see 1 ad from a hosting service, and 2nd ad for makeup ... Also- ad views have NO correlation with views , not just due to ad blockers, but also due to mid-video ads, and side ads...

Your CPM kind of shocks me! I'm starting to grow on KZread myself and my analytics are about half of yours, but only making a small fraction of the revenue. My CPM is about $4.75... clearly my niche isn't as lucrative lol. But it's nice to see other creators sharing their analytics, so thank you for this video!

Hey Dina. I’ve decided to start KZread business channel no face. I think this one can be done much more passively and work outsourced. Pumping each vid will be like pumping out new Etsy listing. Main reason I decided yt route is Etsy random banning.

Think the getting to the monetization part is the hardest. So it seems like we just need more hands on deck to pump out more content and advertise those vids like ray dalio’s economic cycle vid to gain attraction.

Thank you! I did 1 video per week usually! I think I got a couple of breaks (didn't post for weeks), and I tried posting 2 videos a week for a couple weeks but I burnt out haha. So 1 video/week works for me well!

You're welcome! I think it's similar. In the video, I show how much I make in USD and how much I actually got in CAD at 7:52. I think there's a small fee maybe but it doesn't make a huge difference

dina i just did a bunch of looking around and no matter how i see it. dawwwgg youtube finance niche beats etsy any day. the 1 year return if u hire 2 full time employees in phillipines. the roi is insance. omg i had no effing idea. 15k viewers per day @5.5 min watch time easy is already $35 and this is an extremely attainable goal. average: 3 months & 80 vids to reach monetization. this is effing bonkers!!!!!!!!!

have 1 person. economic background research and write script. 1 person find music, thumbnail, keywords, and edit video. and u just practice presenting it and fixing the script so us people can understand it better. similar to how media teams do it like trevor noah!!. after monetization at 6 month mark. i do not see how this can't be profitable. at that time just keep hiring more of those 2 man teams and pump out 2 vids a day!!!

Hmmm I think it's less likely for that to happen on Etsy - I see it more as a slow but steady process of making sales. But it's way easier to make money at the beginning compared to KZread (since you need to wait to be monetized on KZread first), so pros and cons of both!

@@MsDIYSupplies there's a bit of a learning curve because Davinci Resolve is on the same level as Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro, but I've really been loving it after learning it. Another great option (that will be easier) is Capcut

Hey Anna! Several reasons, with the main ones being don't want people to copy my niche, want to share real results of growing on Etsy without using an existing audience, and don't want my subscribers to click into my shop and not buy anything (and therefore showing Etsy that people are clicking my products but not buying -> lower conversion)

Yeah, I agree. It's not entirely passive but it's way better than trading my time for money in my previous jobs/business projects. However, if I stopped posting today , I would still make money (but not as much) because people are still watching my old videos.

You're right, I don't make any money from Instagram, but I love sharing Instagram stories and there I feel like I can connect with people a lot more than on KZread. I love both platforms :)
