When it comes to fridge and freezer i advice you to buy new ones . Second hand one can be really deceiving. And at least with new ones you have one year guarantee at least so you can eather be refunded or get another one as replacement if you are dealing with a problem with it. And also i advice you get a voltage regulator for your home appliance because with the way the electricity in Africa is and all the irregular voltage changement it can spoil them easily.

After the bad experience l have had with second hand electronics. I learned to better buy new Electronic devices from the stores at least the have warranty and you are sure they can offer technical services, it has always worked. If you must get second hand go with a trustworthy technician.

So nice to see settling in your new home. Pole sana about the fridge. I had to learn it the hard way too one time. If the fridge was stored or transported horizontally for a while you have to keep it upright for several hours depending on the manufacturer. The vendor should have told you. It wasn't your fault. Ashia, but the seller was suppose to tell you or simply change the fridge, that's huge money to spend on repairs when you haven't started using it 👌

Always avoid second hand electronic stuff especially in Yaounde. You can get brand new fridge from Marche central in Yaounde at an affordable price. I got mine more than a year now and no complain. Try Skyworth brand for your fridge.

The issue with the fridge is not that it is second hand,every fridge will do that if you put it on immediately after transportation.

Ashia for all the headache you had to put up with. It seems so frustrating! Ugh! To be honest I’m not sure how I can deal with these contractors, workers, and salesmen. It’s making me nervous about attempting a project in Cameroon!

Yeah, they were supposed to tell you not to switch on the fridge immediately. And I only know this thing about letting a fridge sit for a while before plugging because a technician also told me. They were supposed to tell you.
