Loved watching this video, it helped me and put me at ease a lot with the recovery stage. I only took 2 doses of pain killers after surgery and the morning after but that was it, didn't feel pain apart from a few aches here or there within the first 12 hours. I had an unusual case too as my wisdom teeth were constantly getting infected and an abscess formed which no anti biotic could get rid of. I was in a lot of pain with my wisdom teeth for about 6 months on and off before the surgery. I went through a hell of a lot more pain with my wisdom teeth before hand than I did with the actual surgery part! It's really not bad, it's just the after stage which is the worst as you have to really be careful and follow instructions to not cause any problems or dry sockets. My stitches came out too after 1 day, but it's normal. I just really need to keep following the after care instructions now. Thanks!

I woke up totally lucid! I got completely anesthetized and my oral surgeon said most girls wake up crying and most guys wake up swinging lol. I woke up totally fine just completely numb! I got all 4 of mine out about 21 hours ago and I’m having a GREAT recovery so far! I’m allowed to and have been eating whatever I want except no crunchy stuff! Been icing my face, taking my meds, and eating a crap ton of food lol. But I also had an adult tonsillectomy in 2017 when I was 20 (which is known to be one of the worst recoveries of any surgery when you’re an adult!) so I had really bad expectations for this lol granted it’s only been 21 hours post op but I hope it stays this good! I’m 22 now and still living at home but in a camper behind my parents house so I get my own apartment but my mom can also take care me! It’s great honestly

Its day 7 right now, I didn't have any stitches in any of the spots where my teeth were. Right now I'm just worried about getting a dry socket but so far so good, still being very careful of what I eat and also making sure to use salt water. As well as brushing my teeth to make sure no food gets stuck

I'm getting mine out next Friday which is November 8th 2019. My dentist told me I had extra teeth than normal people and when I went for my consultation they told me my extra teeth were my wisdom teeth. I'm getting six teeth pulled not four six. Four on the top and two on the bottom. I'm thankful that my extra ones aren't on the bottom. This video has helped me a lot and now I am not that worried about going anymore. The thing I will hate the most is the gaze and the stitches. :)

I just got mine out today I totally spazzed out. My surgeons assistant was new and wasn't doing anything right so my durgeon got mad and the way he injected to numbing and iv in my hand was screwed up. I think he had got mad and distracted and that was the one thing I knew I was going to have a problem with and he screwed up. I started crying to my mom, but she had to leave I felt excruciating burning in my left hand and arm like I was being burned. He said it was supposed to feel cold I think he panicked a little when I told him the opposite and I think he realized he messed up. Next thing I know I blacked out and I woke up and apparently I was screaming and 4 people had to hold me down. Then they said I kept crying bc they wouldn't take the IV needle out. Now I'm just really bored with a swollen face and I want all the food I can't have.

Almost everyone has to have them removed. They can grow in sideways or push onto the other molars and they can trap bacteria in and get infected or big cavities underneath. @@HB-ey2dk Actually there's a lot of debate about whether or not to take out your wisdom teeth. I've had dentists say that if it's not impacted and you're brushing and flossing properly and it's not causing you grief, you can leave them in; and others who were adamant that I should get them all out just in case. That's why I opted to only have two of mine taken out the other day - thank gods the ones causing problems were on the same side. I can't imagine having all four yanked out at the same time - how do you eat?! I'd be terrified to eat, brush my teeth or open my damn mouth! Even with only having two out, I've been super paranoid and anxious whenever I have to eat or brush my teeth.

It's day 5 for me, my face is still a square and I still take painkillers. But I think it's the stitches that hurt me .

@@RubyLocknar it needed up not being as big of a deal as i thought. i was so scared mainly for the iv since i hate needles. but i barely felt it and let me tell you i have been through way worse pain than that. i don’t remember falling asleep. i just started seeing blurry and before i knew it it was done. i woke up crying for no reason and they told me to keep my mouth shut but i just kept blabbing away. once i calmed down they wheeled me out. my mouth was very numb for a few hours then the pain came. i should have been smart like you and took my meds ahead of time but i didn’t. i had to take ibuprofen along with my prescribed medicine to ease the pain because it was pretty unbearable. anyways i’m fine now and am pretty productive.
