Hi guys.....Hey, just wanted to throw this out there. I was married to NSYNC'S Guitar tech for 11 years, and toured with them the majority of The No Strings Attached Tour. I can vouch 100 percent, that all of the mike's were turned on for all of them, all of the show.

Their mics are all on. They sing 5 part harmonies. That’s their whole deal and it’s why it sounds so smooth. They are an a cappella group that makes pop music. JT & JC sing the leads, Chris sings the high parts, Lance is the bass, and Joey rounds out the middle. If you ever doubt just watch them sing an a cappella ballad. Or look up them singing the national anthem.

Technically, it's a break up song. But, it's really about separating from their manager who was stealing all their money and eventually ended up in prison. The album title No Strings Attached also has to do with not being attached to the manager.

*NSYNC comeback tour could be as massive as Garth Brooks coming out of retirement was for Country music. Shout out to Linkin Park and Incubus. Those two were also huge for my childhood in the early 2000’s as well as *NSYNC. Amazing stuff! In the days of using CD’s in cars, “Make Yourself” and “Meteora” were two CD’s that never left my car - even well into my adulthood until I was able to carry all my music on my phone! Two of my lifelong favorite records!

I highly recommend watching their performance of "I Thought She Knew" from the Madison Square Garden concert if you really want to hear all of their voices well. It's also arguably their best ballad, too! And everyone's mics were on - they just have very specific parts they sing to round out the harmonies. As someone else in the comments said, I can hear Joey very well in this performance in particular, but his voice is often the hardest to pick out because he's the baritone and blends so well with Chris and Lance.

Of course JT and JC’s mics are all the way up, and not Joey, Chris and Lance’s cause they are doing the harmonies. But you can still hear them, sometimes you don’t even realise it’s them!!! Cheezy??? Maybe… but I don’t care!!! It’s more than the music, it’s the brotherhood, the chemestry, the fun. They make me happy and put a smile on my face… that’s always good, right?!?! 'nsync was pretty known for singing live, especially because they were known for their harmonies. i saw them in concert once for each album and they were amazing live! "i thought she knew" is acapella and an amazing display of their harmonies, i recommend watching a live version of it. also you don't hear lance, chris, and joey coming through heavily because they're there to round out the sound. they all even said (i think chris did in the hot ones interview) that they knew they were there to be support, they weren't all competing with each other to be heard.

BSB too started in Europe, yes. And became global sensation. *NSYNC went in their footsteps yet never matched the success of BSB in Europe, and let's be honest, anywhere apart from America. Even Chris and Lance admitted in the interview that girls would be coming to their shows in Europe and tell them 'We're only here coz BSB aren't here'. So therefore *NSYNC never really returned to Europe, Australia or Asia and stayed in US.

I tried to get tickets to the BSB Millennium tour and my best friend and I were there first but the number drawn was just a few behind me so I had to go to the back and had no chance of buying tickets because it sold out in literally 5 minutes. So stupid. And it took so much convincing to get my parents to agree (they were anti concert for some reason) and my dad was willing to pay for front row seats which was a huge miracle. I am still bitter over it to this day lol. I wasn't into Nsync enough to try that for them but these days I DEFINITELY would! Oh and I was 16 in 2000. I feel so old lol.

I jave always loved boy bands all the way back to the early 80's when I was a teen. My all time favorite are(in order): 1) NKOTB 2) New Edition 3) BSB 4) N'SYNC 5) Boyz II Men Also, all of these Pop artists have a backing track, all of them. Britney Spears, N'SYNC, BSB, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, etc. I miss the old days when they just sang, no lip syncing, all the antics. Just pute playing instruments and beautiful harmonies, etc. All the greats from the 60's & 70's didn't need backing tracks, all the dancing, just pur raw talent! There wasn't auto-tune either. That never came about until 1995. You had to know how to sing and have a great voice. Every single note had to be spot on or it would be noticed if it was a miss.

They started i germany because lou perlman was thier and b.s.b manager. And i thinnk he wanted them to grow in europe not ti disturb b.s.b carrerr. And after the disney concert the b.s.b rejected n sync took it and grew up in th success. They had 2 debut albums. By the way both bands sued perlman for not getting money. And no string... was the realised album after the court contract trial with perlman.

@Canadian_Girl27 same, this hits home personally. I have a heart condition from birth, and I'm now 31. I try not to take life for granted and live in the moment.

YES! I feel like that was THE BEST live version of that particular song, however...Space Cowboys and It's Gonna Be May is better on THIS tour then any other one.

I think the embarrassment you felt is what I feel anytime I see Luke Bryan perform one of the songs he bumps and grinds all over the place to 😂 you’ll have to check out one of those someday too! Also, EVERY single mic is on! They worked their butts if to dance and sing like that! I’ve seen both Nsync and BSB in concert twice and Nsync were always better performers than BSB in my opinion. I went and saw BSB and NKOTB when they went on tour together and thought NKOTB were better performers than BSB too even though they’re at least 15 years older!
