My weight loss journey (Week 424)

This video is about me completing my 424th week of my weight loss journey. We'll see if I've managed to lose any more weight when I complete another weekly weigh in and I'll compare my home weigh in result with my Slimming World weigh in.
We also find out how I'm getting on with achieving my third weight loss target and reducing my Body Mass Index (BMI).

    Hey Stu! Nice update! The food looks delicious. I am on a small weight loss journey myself and have swapped my snacks and desserts for corn waffles and oranges/apples. It's healthier, and they have fewer calories. Maybe this will work for you too! P.S. I love corn waffles

    I don’t think the Saturday black hole was too bad Stu and I always took my calories as a average over the week it only comes a problem when you have a black hole day more than once a week 👍

    Hi Craig, Although I did have a large amount of calories that day. Not all of the food I consumed would be considered unhealthy. I think when you look at my calories that day some of my worse choice happened around lunch time with the crisp, pork pie and cookies. On the whole it wasn't too bad, but I do realise that if I had a perfect Saturday/weekend like during Monday to Friday, I would probably see better weight loss results.     Hi Yeah I'm Awesome, yeah I'm happy to keep seeing these weekly losses. It's don't bother my how small the losses are, because they all add up. But I must admit it would be nice to lose between 1 and 3 pounds per week. This would definitely help me lose my 50 pound weight loss target for this year.     That is an insanely high amount of carbohydrates on Saturday. When you eat that much carbs, you were spiking your insulin and telling your body to store fat I truly believe you could better your diet by increasing your protein, decreasing your carbohydrates and trying to eat some healthy fats to keep you satiated, good luck

    Thanks Suzy, Yeah I know my Saturdays are generally the worse day of my week, in terms of making good food choices. But I was asked to show/explain what foods I tend to have on a Saturday (my black hole day). I'm not saying it's a good thing, but I've always given myself Saturdays off plan and not worry about what food I consume. By giving myself this one day, I find it helps me stay focused and on plan throughout the rest of the week. During the rest of the week, the other 6 days I do eat a lot more protein. I was asked in one of the messages left for one of my videos a few weeks ago if I could explain/show what I'm actually eating on my binge day. So I thought why not.     Hey Stu, Congratulations on the quality loss this week. I've been trying to get rid of some regain at the beginning of this year too. I've dropped about 30 pounds since January 1st and it's made a huge difference to how I feel. Really feel it on the stairs especially, but even just getting off the couch it makes a difference. Hope you can feel your results too because it's very motivating! I'm curious as to how you are calculating your calories. You have very precise numbers there so are you weighing everything? Did you make this all from scratch or did it all come from packages? I've just never seen calorie calculations that precise, and as I've told you before I think that your calculations may be underestimating some things (though not necessarily on this day.) Nice square pancakes, though I would definitely have put some berries on top along with the whipped cream. In general incorporating some more produce might be a way to keep things going in the right direction!

    Thanks Friendlyghost75. I'm very happy with this weeks weight loss, I hope I see many more of them. haha. Congratulations on losing 30 pounds since the start of this year, that a great result. I also would be happy with that result. I'm not feeling the result of my weight loss so far this year, but I'm sure as I continue to lose more weight as I progress throughout the year I'll start to feel the difference. I been using the the MyFitnessPal app for many years now to help me track my daily calorie consumption. So for the most part I just scan the barcode and it tells me how many calories is the food I eat. But the problem comes when do know the precise amount of food (weight/grams) of food that's gone on my plate. In this instance I have to guesstimate, so my calorie consumption is an approx for each day. The sandwiches for my lunch and my gammon/pork evening meal was all home made. The rest of the food I had throughout the day was packaged. Yeah I would normally put some berries with my pancakes, but didn't have any in my fridge or freezer on this day. Sometimes I put honey or syrup on my pancakes, but didn't have any to that either. So had to make do with the last little bit of squirty cream I had left. haha.     @@StuUnwin Glad to hear that you're happy with your loss. So does that mean you want to see both MORE losses and LESS of you in the future? Losing 30 pounds in 2 months is aggressive, especially since I'm in the 200s these days, but I've been very motivated for this to the last year I lose these particular pounds. I've lost and regained them so many times over the last five years. I think that's one of the things we have in common. We keep losing and regaining the same weight. I want this to be the last time you lose your pounds too. We gotta see you break out of that Podgy category! Estimation is always tough. It's very easy to underestimate. As long as you're losing and happy with the loss that's fine, but do think your numbers are off based on your size. But the only number that really matters is the number on the scale, and that's going down right now, which is great! I love fruit, in general, as a way to get some sweetness in in a healthier way The fiber and water give it really good satiety! Are there any fruits you particularly love?

    Hi Friendlyghost75, yep that's right, that's why I want to see more weight losses so everyone gets to see much less of me in the future. I want to break out of my Podgy BMI classification down into a new one too. haha. Yeah it's not fun losing and regaining the same weight over and over again. I want to break that cycle. My favourite fruit are Strawberries when they're in season, but I do enjoy a nice crisp apple or a juicy orange. The apple and orange are my go to daily (Monday to Friday) fruits that I eat and the occasional banana. For some reason I don't tend to eat much fruit on a weekend, I think my black hole Saturday has got something to do with that. Enjoy your up and coming week, speak to you later.     Hey man keep up good work. But if you keep this mindset of eat what ever you want on the weekends you will never lose the weight. You are keeping cals low all week just to eat them all in a Saturday and lose all that weight loss. I know it’s a huge mindset shift to stay on and not do cheat meals. Keep up hard work and look into RP hypertrophy

    Hi Dyrawn, yeah I agree with everything you've said. I know my weekends have always been my weakness. I've always given myself Saturday as my treat day. Generally I find I need to give myself that one day per week to not worry about what food I eat. This tends to help me stay focused and on plan throughout the rest of the week. As long as I continue to make small healthy sustainable changes over time, I should continue to see the weight losses I'm aiming for.     I have been following your channel for a few days now. And what problem am I seeing due to which you are getting less views and no subscribers. It is important to solve all those problems if you don't do it then you won't get good views and subscribers i mean organic result.

    Hi Rezaul, obtaining subscribers wasn't/isn't my primary goal, for starting my KZread channel. Sure it's always nice to see my supporter count increase, but that's not been my driving factor. If people happen to stumble upon my channel and like what they see. And decide to support my channel and my weight loss journey, well that's wonderful and I truly do appreciate their support it means a lot to me. Whomever decides to follow my channel, I hope it also helps them in some way. Whether that be showing them they're not alone if they're also struggling with being overweight and wanting to work at losing their unwanted excess weight. I've been documenting my weight loss journey on KZread for over 8 years now. And if obtaining subscribers was my only motivation, I would have given up years ago. I'm quite happy with my current 830 supporters. Just like my weight loss journey of me experiencing ups and downs in weight, I also see ups and downs in my supporter count too. I'll just continue doing what I'm doing, making small healthy sustainable changes over time and hopefully this keeps me on the right track for losing my unwanted excess weight. And as a result this; my supporters (whether numbered small or large) will hopefully continue to see much less of me in the future, that of course being in body weight and body measurements. haha.
