938 February 19,2024 Shuler is a wonderful chasidic singer. Singing pop standards takes away from all the holy songs he sings. I am sorry Shulem you will never be accepted by the non Jewish public. Stop trying. Go back to your roots in which you are so good at

Wow wow wow. Shulem, this was heavenly. This came up on my play list and began playing in the background. I immediately stopped what I was doing and have now watched this performance 6 times on repeat. This is, without a doubt, the most beautiful version of the song I have ever heard. So much heart and soul behind this. Funny thing, a friend once told me Sinatra was rumored to have written this song about a break up, and even though it probably was not, she somewhat ruined the song for me because every time I heard someone sing it I kept thinking about how awful it would be to have someone write that song about you after they dump you. But hearing you sing this, with the מָגֵן דָּוִד in the background, and all that’s going on right now in Israel, it has just taken on an entirely new meaning. A beautiful meaning. Im reading The Farhud by Edwin Black - your performance speaks so much to the stories the book addresses. This is the first time my husband and I have heard you sing. But we are officially fans.
