I think he used to live in Montreal before moving to Toronto. That is the way how he always used to play even 35 years ago when I saw him play. Yes, I agree he should let the singer be the main focus but let him enjoy.

The drummer really enjoys his work...and if that was a wedding I'm guessing he was the happy father of the bride .

There’s only one explanation how the bass player could sit there so straight faced: that was his dad playing the drums.

It's actually her dad.

He is the father of the lady singer and he is just happy and proud to be performing with his beloved daughter.

The drummers was straight drumming his heart out. The singer was singing her heart out as well hitting them notes like being in a dream. The bass was feeling the groove like no tomorrow many blessings to all of them forever beyond life

As a drummer myself I can identify with this man. I won't lie his passion and this amazing song made me cry. It reminded me of the good old days.

A+ showmanship and definitely some talent. The only thing was that he rushed somewhat, especially when he got excited. If he could have layed back a little bit and played everything a hair later, it would have even been greater.

Wow! He just made me smile. How refreshing to watch his enthusiasm and zeal.

So much going on here. Love the way he arranges his cymbals for when he stands and plays. Def hear the Bozzio and Bruford influences in his licks. Great hair matching the suit. The smiling etc. And the camera guy panning over to catch all the action!! Just brilliant.

let us not take anything away from the singer she is beautiful and has a beautiful voice . The drummer is such a happy soul . We all can be like that if we try . He is a lot like me.

The drummer was Kwon Soon Keun. He has been doing this act for many years - right back to the 1970s, maybe. He's Korean, but now lives in Canada, I think? He was a very well known drummer in Korea. There are lots of other vids of him doing this, some as a much younger guy. It's just a laugh, a bit of fun... can't believe all the comments from the haters.

Two things I love most about this: The singer, far from being absolutely fucking fuming with this clown, is completely deadpan throughout and even gives a respectful nod, bow even, of appreciation at the end. And I love the way the drummer's put his crash cymbal so high, so he HAS to stand up theatrically to hit it!
