It was really entertaining to see the crowd slowly grow in size as the video went on. Shit, man, If I saw someone sending something like that, I'd stop and watch for as long as I could, too!

makes me so happy to see people stick around to see him finish it even though they may not even be into skating. they just see the perseverance and show respect. restores just a little bit of my faith in humanity.

Skating is %100 taming ur mental to conquer the once thought impossible. I've seen a guy really get into his car hating himself because he couldn't get himself to 50-50 the down rail. When he knew he could easily do it, having them on lock. But once he finally did it. It's the best feeling ever. Seen lil wayne explain that feeling, as better than all the happiness his legendary soul has experienced on this earth through his career.

buggld also his nails were him on bolts landing from high impact. that's why bails are more brutal when doing flip tricks and being janky on your board at landing, than already being set up for a perfect landing on the board

This is the best Thrasher “My War” vid. The positive reaction from the random passerby’s was the best part. They (most likely) don’t know who this guy is or give a damn about skateboarding, but they saw a guy persevering. They were genuinely proud of this stranger landing s skateboard trick.

The best part about this video is seeing all the people who stuck around just to see even one of Dane's attempts. People who've never touched a board before, never seen a skate video before or have never even had interest in skateboarding took time out of their day to support him because they knew what he was doing was meaningful, difficult and took talent, despite not knowing who he was or what exactly he was doing. Even a disabled guy sat by that ledge for hours and cheered for him when he landed it. That means a lot, when a group of people come together to celebrate a strangers success in an activity that means nothing to them. They stayed not because he's Dane Burman or because they like skateboarding, they stayed to see success

First time watching this video and this comment is exactly what i felt i love watching people doing skate,huge gaps, rails and tricks. This effort and passion was awesome :)

This is the meaning of skateboarding to me. Yes is nice to go out and just goof around and go home but the best part about skateboarding is when you land something and you just know that you did something amazing. I only had that feeling maybe 2 or 3 times but everytime I knew that this moment is special for me. I can't even imagine how Dane felt here but I bet it was better then coming.

This is my favorite MyWar of all time. That crowd hype is just amazing.

My absolute favorite part of this video is the bystanders watching him every try and waiting for him to land. Goosebumps every time I see the random civilians cheering him on after the make.

This one brought tears to my eyes. I felt like one of the people watching just hoping he would land it. Watching everyone celebrate was amazing. Gnarly af

I was in philly and looked at this thing today. I knew it was high but this dude is fucking nuts. You can't really grasp how gnarly it really is until you see it in person. The drop on the end alone is high as fuck.

When you dream of something & then you put yourself into making it happen & it actually happens...that right there is the best feeling. This video was emotionally jarring, so hyped to skate right now!

Still get goosebumps when I watch this, especially the first try. Seems to surprise me every time I watch it that he has the courage to go for it.

Love how "Jaws" has become an adjective for anything drop that may blow your knees out. Mad respect 👊💯

This is the my war I always come back to. I've been watching it for years and it still gives me chills.

i love videos like this that showcase the raw talent and determination put into each trick. I especially love seeing tricks go down with pedestrians walking by in shock at what they are seeing this is real skateboarding.

You’re right. It’s one of the coolest things about skateboarding in my opinion. If you skate, you’re a skater. Doesn’t matter what color, gender or religion

This is the best series. It truly showcases the perseverance and determination it takes to be a skateboarder.

The song, the trick, the spot, Dane Burnam. This small clip brings so much inspiration. I remember being scared of rails, but now, that's changed. I've landed my first 50-50 and going to practice even more

Dude, I saw this in complete awe on the cover of Thrasher. Finally, almost two years later I actually got to see it. This was completely amazing and crazy!

Home town philly. I used to skate pass this spot all the time. I remember this cover shot and his video part. Brought some moisture to my eyes seeing his battle and winning. That’s philly.

That’s such a classic cover. I remember seeing this specific one when I was younger and always thought it was such a great capture

I love how everyone cheered for him instead of yelling at him.

Gnarly shit. Definitely wrote his name in history books with this.

The people cheering and raising their hands brought a tear to my eye. That support alone can sometimes be the biggest motivation for skaters

If I'm ever feeling unmotivated to skate I just watch this and I'm fully stoked again. Dane is such a rad dude.

This is insane one of the best tricks I’ve seen

Nothing better than having your crew around to cheer you on. It’s like an extra 50% courage. Side note, music is spot on here.
