    I have been browsing your channel and love it! Great work! I just bought a hoodie from you also :) These Trident Kits are popular. I bought one and got a message from Fysetc saying US warehouse out of stock. They are doing one more fulfillment of these (BOM 1.0 and 1.1 - depending on if you buy the Pi or not) and then only the latest BOM will be available (at a higher price of course.) So, my kit won't ship until 9/30. Still finishing my Siboor 2.4, so no rush.

    Ive buit a 2.4 (Formbot) and honestly rushed my build. As a result I'm still working on it.. problematic BUT thats why I got a kit. The learning curve is very steep on these. On a personal note (I've brought this up elsewhere) the one thing that most livestreams bring up is "all printers can do good quality". They are all essentially the same hardware just configured differently. That being what it is, I have yet seen anyone break into the software. Specifically slicers when 'tweaking' profiles. As each machine is different due to tolerances as is also filaments the software is always the deciding factor. I have been constantly directed to use Ellis' guide which to me reads like stereo instructions. Visualization to me personally is everything and I just fail to wrap my head around it. I just recently came onto your channel and find your style very thorough and detailed. I'll definitely be looking at your past offerings and look forward to your livestreams in the future. On a personal side of things, I chose the full 350 2.4 specifically for ABS and no doubt I will get it there eventually. Until then.. I fall back on an MK3S+ and a 400 v-core ratrig for my general impulse printing. Keep up the work and thanks for the effort :)

So, it comes with the MGN12 for Afterburner? if is, that's great. then i don't have to throw the mgn9 on the pile and save some for the canbus.

    What is the "certain type of wire" that you use for cable chains? You didn't go into detail on that when you mentioned it.

  • @3DPrintSOS

    @3DPrintSOS

    4 ай бұрын

    I didnt know that you can’t solder wires in a chain. In makes for a weak point and I’ve broken several wires inside chains that way. It’s best to use silicone wire for cable chains. However, I would HIGHLY suggest going can bus and senseless homing. It gets rid of the chains altogether and replaces the entire loom with a single cable containing 4 wires.

    @@3DPrintSOS CAN bus is definitely in my future. I was thinking that the wire should be the same type of wire that is used for the thermistor. The very thin, specially coated for heat resistance, type of wire. I think its called PTFE wire.

    The z limit is because the lead screws are integrated into the z steppers, and it’s hard to find them longer than 250mm - if you could source those, it should be relatively easy to find longer parts for the rest of the z axis

    Canbus from them is a $20 part. It looks like Fysetc puts together this kit how Voron designed it originally and it’s up to you to figure out which mods you’d like to do. So if you open the original trident pdf by Voron, that’s what this kit is. I bought a ebb36 and will be using USB straight to the Pi. No second can bus module nonsense. Just +/- and USB cable. Done.
