This sistem it might be functional but it is definitely not healthy. Sorry to say that. I anyways live in a country where people tend to perceive lunch as a principal meal of the day. Many parents around me pay for a hot lunch at the school. But here, in Romania, a hot lunch means a soup and a second course (meat & vegetables). People also tend to eat a hot dinner too. I really don't hear about chips at school. I am far away from being a perfect parent and I am not judging. But maybe you need to reconsider this.

I would love it if my daughter's school offered exactly what I wanted her to eat at a reasonable price. That would save me time 😅 Prices and food choices vary from state to state (and probably by county/ district) here in the US. In Colorado Elementary; Grades K-5 (Breakfast $2.25 Lunch $3.25). Breakfast is usually served for kids that get dropped off early because parents have to get to work early. Not all kiddos buy breakfast at school. Many kids get free food through the school because their parents have low income. How are the prices in Romania?

The point is that every child - regardless of household income or the amount of time their parents have to prepare meals - can eat. No one has to go hungry and the school meals guarantee those children get a large part of their nutrition needs met for the day. This is so insane to me. The amount of waste that is produced just shocks me. And everything exept the fresh fruit is junkfood. Why does someone feed their kids such an expensive, high sugar no nutrition food? And with all this organizing, where is the convinience in that? Every item in all of those bins are treats for me. It would be much, much cheaper, less wastefull, and way better for the kids health to just let them make real food and sandwiches, pack veggies, fruits, water, and all of that in reusable containers and bottles. Plus then one treat item. Blows my mind that rich people in a developed country with access to so much education put so much effort and money into making such bad choices.

While I concede your point regarding sustainability, I respectfully disagree with the extreme moralization and demonization of any kind of food. A meal doesn’t have to be perfect in order to be healthy. This lunch system is a great way for children to make their own food choices within some reasonable boundaries. I think this a helpful tool to help raise capable and independent children, which I think was the intention behind this video.

Keep in mind that this is her lunch system for school. That is one meal where the kids can help prepare for themselves on busy mornings, so it’s not everything the kids eat. I love that you’re concerned for their health (and the planet!) and I think it’s safe to assume that this isn’t all the children eat. She puts a lot of content out there about family meals and fresh vegetables and fruit and protein, etc.

I mean she’s a single mom of 8 kids. Sometimes you gotta simplify. Can you imagine the dishes if everything was in a reusable container? And if not that or pre-packaged they’d go in plastic baggies anyway, same amount of waste. Idk what’s so bad about a homemade sandwich, apple, peaches, protein bar, goldfish and fruit snacks. Tweak it how you want. Maybe add a veggie. But let kids be kids too. Only thing I think she should change is refillable water bottles. Kids could wash those out daily.

They say" boring" somwtimes but they stillneat bc they're hungry ,other times they love it. Bc they're used to. My kids would not do good eating these treats she mentions on here. For a productivity expert you are very rushed. If your job is content creator perhaps use your planners you sell to plan your days. You don’t seem rushed and frantic when you’re getting massages or facials or hair appointments. If you have time to sit in your car after a gym sesh and blab on instagram stories I think you could prioritize your time to do your JOB too. And maybe focus on your children and be present with them instead of shoving your phone in their faces or watching them behind your phone
