It has a full set of ropes and stakes. I just didn’t use them in this demonstration because I didn’t have the space. I think it would do fine in winds up to 45 mph if not more.

Being able to leave the telescopes set up and polar aligned is such a time saver and allows one to take advantage of those times when the sky may be clear for a few hours and still be able to observe! Great video of an interesting product.

Nice idea, specially the portability of it. Now how is that LX50 coming along? I am about to start deforking mine and set it up with an EQ6R Pro and I am very excited for what I’ll be able to see with it. Would love to see a follow up video about the LX.

It’s been dormant for quite a while! Specifically because I haven’t gotten around to AF for it. Just curious, do you have a solution for autofocus? I was just looking through it visually the other night and it was great. Just so you know, it’s owned by the observatory so I’m not spending my own money on upgrading it. That’s another reason why it’s been hanging out instead of imaging.

How safe is it in higher winds? I would like to set something like this up on my roof, but I'm worried about it blowing away.

Realistically you shouldn’t set something like this up on your roof because vibrations in the house will translate up through to the roof and reduce your image quality. And safety, wind, etc. I would recommend a pier and dome if you want something on your roof.
