Royally sucks that your RV Window got broke... Hopefully you are able to fixed QUICKLY....! Probably quicker to fix yourself and then submit bill to insurance for YOUR labor too....

Wow. I'm sorry about your window! Good advice, though: We always put our awning in when we leave the campground, and we pull it in at night, even if the weather is nice because you just never know when a freak storm will blow up. We have a canopy, too, and I bought weights to put on the legs: two ten-pound interlocking weights on each leg; plus, once we lower the canopy, we put bag weights on top of the interlocking weights; the bag weights have filled water bottles in them to add extra weight. It might be overkill, but I then stake it down, too. Better safe than sorry. Right?! We were at the Sun Retreat Geneva-on-the-Lake last week when a monster storm rolled in with 70-mile per hour gusts, and my canopy stood firm.

Sorry that happened to you guys. Best of luck with the window replacement. We’ve dealt with replacing a window as well. The plexiglass was an expensive but good choice while we waited for parts. Despite it all, keep on rolling!

It's unfortunate your window was broken out.

We had an issue with a pop up tent at a nascar parking lot. Guy next to us and did not stack down the pop up tent. Hit the top of our son,s brand new suv. Contacted local police to file a report and got the guy’s insurance to pay for repairs. Also damaged both of our pop up tents that was secured properly.

Happy you were next to someone willing to make it right. We have been in touch with the local sheriff department that came out to advise of the officers stance. Sounds like your situation was way worse it hit all kinds of things. The lesson is to secure it down just like you did. Safe travels

People need to be aware storms can pop up at any time, especially in coastal areas. But, glad you guys are safe and STILL had a good time while there. You turned lemons into lemonade.

@AdventureBandits1 so far we like the nitro 405, venom 4113tk, and grand design has the 376 but my favorite is the 399 by grand design bc of the side patio but you don't get the living room

C’est la vie the French way for saying, “such is life” or “sh@#t happens.” So I love how the Adventure Bandits deal with adversity with as much of a positive attitude as possible. I love you guys outlook and I’ve never heard Ashanti use profanity but she definitely kinda earned the right for this one. Just one little quick word and then she moved on, lol. Your camping buddies were right there helping you with a temporary solution for keeping your RV dry. I wish you guys the best of luck restoring your RV to it’s original condition amicably with your camping neighbour and them agreeing to cover the cost of the damage is wonderful. ❤😮👍🏾

Sorry about your window, I agree the people who own the canopy would be responsible for the damage it caused. Also we heard you are going to Alaska soon, have you watched Traveling Robert, he is sharing their trip now and Matt at Matts RV should be able to put you in a toy hauler or at least he is always saying they can beat any deal, good luck and we enjoy your videos!

This is why pop up tents are not allowed on the beach. Unfortunately, most insurance will not pay out claims to other parties when damaged is caused by acts of nature, even those the damage is caused by another parties property.

Thank you sis glad no one was hurt a true lesson was learned. Our RV community is amazing just wish the guy would have taken accountability for him not securing his tent.

Good luck getting those people to pay for the damage. We live next door to a slum-lord property. His trees have damaged our property twice (once the house and once my vehicle). Both times were declared "acts of God", and therefore they weren't held responsible. My insurance had to fix the damage and our rates subsequently went up. 😠

We are not going to waste our time with the people. I turned everything over to our insurance company. I will let them handle it. Sorry you have to go through that as well.

It should be a requirement in the park to tie down the tents! I have extra heavy duty steaks because you never know and I have been caught in a couple of storms in the night. So sorry for the window. they should pay for it. the tent people.

Sorry this happened. So frustrating but you all always handle these types of situations with such grace and dignity.

Well twice at Sun resort in Texas I have paid the lock in few but still got moved…. The did refund the lock in fee and the last Time have offered me a discount. Not a fan of the lock in fee. They will move you regardless if they need too.

The lock in fee is another way to get money out of you. As long as they give us what we paid for, we don't mind being moved.

I'm sitting here wishing this never took place of its not one thing it's been another. Ashanti is so sweet and always positive. When she let one out you can tell she was not happy at all. Very human of her and real which is why we watch and follow. Thanks for being the most real channel out here. I hope the owner follows through and pay. So sorry about your window incident, but I’m glad the owners did the right thing, shame on that sheriff. We were in the Myrtle Bch area at Willow Tree for 3rd-5th and we experience really bad weather those days. We drove over to visit Carolina Pines Resort on the 4th of July and it seems to be a very nice camping resort. Wish we had known you guys were there, we would have stopped by. Praying all goes well with your window repair.

Things happen! Tents staked or not can sometimes be no match for wind and rain storms. Please don't go blaming your neighbor. You have insurance!

Why on earth would the sherif make such a statement?! Very irresponsible of him/her. I'm grateful the members of the RVing/camping community respect one another enough to make you all whole.

Hate to see this but you handled it well. It was good seeing you two today even if it was from the other side of the Interstate. 😂 Safe travels on your way to Alaska.

It is what the insurance company call an act of God, that what they do not have to pay for it. But I believe if they had took it down like you said, because you do not know what happen when you leave secured your property the best you can before leave.

Check with your insurance company, but I believe they would be liable. It is just civil versus criminal. The Sheriff should have facilitated the exchange of contact information - as the insurance company may pursue damages. Sorry it happened, and you see do much irresponsible behavior in campgrounds, but good neighbors as well. Safe travels.

That LEO should have kept from dispensing legal liability information. That is none of his business, and certainly not part of his job description.

Sorry for the misfortune. However, no one was hurt, but probably "feelings". My feelings would have been hurt. You guys take it in stride. A broken window 🪟, the tree 🌳 falling on the previous camper, let's not for get the outdoor kitchen door. Yes, always an adventure for The Adventure Bandits! Great camping community ready to help!! I did. This event happened during the holiday. No one was coming out to help. I left the day after the 4th.

The park have rental golf carts. We brought our own golf cart. The park charges $30 if you bring your own cart.

Ok, The name of your trailer is "Lightning Rod" it seems to attract acts of god. I was suprised by the F-bomb, but i would have been the same. You two are the nicest people, like KZread best friends. The very first video I seen of yours was when the tree fell on your other RV. You said "The park wasn't responsible for the rotted tree, it was a act of God" The Sheriff was totally wrong. There is no such thing as "A act of God" when someones property is damaged by someone else's property. People tend to used that quote in order not to be held liable for damages. If it happens again, take it to court, and I guarantee no such nonsense will be tolerated. I told you all this on that particular video. Update: Ashanti the nerve.... You asked "if the truck was the best thing he ever done" I can't believe you accepted that. Marrying you should've been the best he's ever done
