I started using a ipl (skin genic ipl) last year. I’m quite satisfied with the results I'm seeing.. It was also budget friendly compared to the Ulike.

I honestly use Philips and I’m quite impressed with the results, I’m awfully hairy I have hair everywhere even on my thighs and upper arms! 🤣 it didn’t get rid of the hair PERMANENTLY but it made it thinner and way slower to grow, I haven’t shaved my legs since last December when I had to undergo surgery and the hair on my leg is pretty thin I mean it is noticeable still but you would never guess that this leg belongs to the old gorilla me 😂

I will vouch for this although I’ll give some warnings. I’m trying to do a full Brazilian (yes you can, company even has a link) and yes, it slows growth but I’m at four weeks and still have constant ingrown hairs because yes you have to shave

Genuine question…. You’re saying that you can do full Brazilian but I just bought it and in the instructions it says not to use it there only on the bikini area and I am really disappointed since that’s the area I mainly bought it for lol do I have the link that u are talking about

You're pressing it to your skin like it's doing something when the light doesn't even flash before you move it again. It takes me FOREVER because I wait for the light to flash every time before moving it. Am I doing it wrong? Is there something I'm missing?

Yes but it appears this girl has been using ulike for sometime including other models before air3 so it seamed more genuine. I really wish if they got paid sponsor they would give honest reviews

Has anyone with red/ginger hair used this? I know the site says it may not be as effective but I was not sure if anyone with that hair color has been able to use and get results

I have a condition called Hidradenitis suppurativa and laser hair removal can actually put this into remission. I am going to have to order this!

@rosemaryleon9557 I have had my ulike for 2 months now and I have not had a flair up since! I was terrified of shaving my bikini line to use the ulike because shaving often triggers flair ups for me. It has been absolutely amazing. Now with that said, I do have some darker scars that I could feel the "zap". It was not painful but it was the only place I felt it. Of course, talk to your doctor. I still have hair that grows but it is significantly less and takes a lot longer to grow. I still do treatments twice a week. My only negative is that you can't use it on tattoos and my legs have several tattoos. So, the areas that I have tattoos, I still have to shave every day or two. It also makes you realize how well it works when you see the difference in growth over the two areas. I seriously think I may be able to wear a real bathing suit for the first time in 20 years next summer. I have always work shorts because shaving was not always possible. Also, I am not sure if it is the ULIKE or because I have not had a flair up in two months but even my scars look so much better. I wish I did this years ago. My oldest daughter also has HS and I think I need to get her one for Christmas.

@rosemaryleon9557 Sending you the biggest hug. I wish more people talked about HS. I used to be so ashamed and embarrassed about it until I realized that several people I knew had it. I know a few people who got insurance to cover professional laser hair removal for their HS. I just know that my insurance will laugh at me if I tried. Forsure, talk to your doctor and make sure it is safe for you. With my first round, I used the little bikini line mini buzzcutter thing. That way, it was not a super close shave to avoid irritations. It took me 4 treatments before I felt safe using the actual razor. My only regret is not taking before photos (nothing rated R, just of the scars and skin) because I am almost gaslighting my memories because I feel like it is almost too good to possibly be true. Oh, on another little note, I tried it on my husband's lower back. He got ingrown hairs after. He only let me do two treatments on him before he wanted nothing with it. I have not had any ingrown hairs, so hopefully, that is just something he deals with. (I feel like I should make this statement, just in case youtube gets mad. I purchased the ULIKE with my own money. I did use MGs coupon code but I was in no way paid or encouraged to make reviews.)

Im very frustrated with my ULIKE sapphire. I follow directions but the device stops working when it gets very hot until it cools off for 30 minutes. This happens on the highest setting. Ive tried 2 devices, the same failure. Anyone else ??

In order for it to work, it has to heat the follicle so if you pluck/tweeze, it won't work. You'll need to shave.

It’s so funny how you move the device when it doesn’t even flash! 🤣🤣🤣! You’re not removing hair there unless the machine flashes, you’re supposed to wait for the machine to flash. The funniest videos is when you see them gliding it across the body and it completely passes over like 2 inches of skin without even flashing! HILARIOUS!!! 🤣🤣🤣

@@JennaCarrick yes very time consuming! I own a similar ipl machine, and I only move the machine like 1/3 of an inch for each flash, cuz the window for the flash is very small relative to the head. So it realistically takes me 15-20 mins per leg if I really wna make sure I get every single centimeter of skin. These people demonstrate it like you just glide over the skin and it’ll get rid of your hair! WRONG! If you want fast and even results, do it slow and precisely!

So I have a question, you say you’ve used it before and then they gave you a chance to use this one and you were all for it correct? So how does this work because if you use on the floor you shouldn’t have any hair because it supposed to remove your hair permanently isn’t it? So I’m confused on why he would need to use it again if you use the other ones it removes your hair permanently so it doesn’t work if It didn’t remove your hand permanently

The IPL devices don't remove hair permanently. You still have to use it once a month in order to maintain the results. If you stop using it, eventually the hair will grow back.

Ok, so if I don’t shave directly before hand will I see hairs fall off? Then they grow back slower the longer you do it? Or am I supposed to shave then do it then my hair slows down growth after 3 weeks? How can it recognize the pigment hair follicle if it’s shaved down?

They say not shaving first causes the light to diffuse through the hair, which reduces how well it can hit the root, so it won't be as effective if you don't shave.

Ulike was a bit too much on the bank. Can you review the SkinGenics IPL? That’s the one I have and so far I see amazing results and it was a lot more affordable ❤

If you’re not in auto-glide mode, it should flash every time you press. If you’re pressing and not seeing the flash that means it’s not detecting your skin’s contact with the device and will therefore not flash (it’s a safety feature). Hope that helps!

No, it targets the darker pigments, that’s why it’s primarily best on darker hair and doesn’t work for those with darker skin

Usually nothing. If you have it on the highest setting and it's been running for awhile, it starts to heat up. But you can just take a break and let it cool down. On sensitive areas with the highest setting, I sometimes feel a little "zap" - not painful to me, just surprising if I'm not expecting it. Just start on the low setting and work up.
