About the hard water, you can also invest in a chelating shampoo to use every couple of months. You can use it as the clarifying step. The key is to use it as needed. I also live in an area with hard water and can't find a shower head filter easily. So, aside from chelating shampoo, i wash with rain water (perks of living in an african household 😂😅). It's very labour intensive, since i can't do my washday in the shower, but i have seen an improvement in the manageability of my hair.

Thank you for the advice. I can relate to using the wrong products on your hair. When I lived in Saudi for a year I didn’t realize the products and water were damaging my hair until I got back to South Africa and my sister immediately noticed the difference 💔

How do you make the clove water do you have a video?x

I would love to see a detailed video. Is the clove water something you make or buy? I truly need to start taking better care of my natural hair. I braid it put it under wigs and then it’s bye bye for like a month. SMH.

I normally make a combination of coffee, clove, rosemary, mint tea and spray in between my cornrows on my scalp. I love it
