They are actually based on traditional Japanese culture and the science of reflexology. They believed it’s beneficial to separate the toes and wore sandals that separated the big toe from the rest of the toes. This was just margiela’s whimsical take on that idea. Personally I also think they’re ugly but they are very comfortable if anything.

I found this Ana Sui leather blazer on Poshmark, it may be vegan leather, I'm not sure. I keep going back to it, and trying to decide if I'll wear it or not. I'm worried it's going to make my shoulders look really big and boxy.

I think a high quality fine leather blazer is timeless. Good for you for rocking one 👍🏼

Faux leather is plastic, and it doesn’t breathe and makes you swear (I meant to say sweat, but that causes me to feel like swearing.). On the other hand, I love all my old leather jackets. They never wear out, and I always get compliments, and I’m 71!

You know Meytal responds to positive comments, you don’t have to say something rude to get a response. Usually I would ignore a comment like this but I really do want to know what would compel you to actually type that thought out? You don’t have to like her style but was it necessary for you to write something negative? There are tons of other fashion KZreadrs that you could watch, do you hate watch Meytal’s channel? If you don’t like her fashion advice or picks, keep it moving and watch someone else. I must say though: she clapped back in such a classy way! 👏🏽😂 And yeah, over 100k people def disagree with you, but the ones who do agree with you I bet you they just kept it moving, as should you.

I laugh at the Prada sandals because they look like river shoes. Teva makes these for a lot cheaper, and we can hike and play in the water with them. It's like Prada copied Teva, which has been literally the same since the 90s.

haha me loving the Prada bag because it gives me classy-vintage vibes and the leather blazer because I love leather clothing and it gives me 90's matrix vibes; we all have a different taste I love some of your looks and others are not my cup of tea that is what is so cool about fashion, is all about wearing what we like.

I like the Prada bag, but I don't need it to be Prada. I could easily go to the thrift store and find an old purse with the same style and functionality.

As someone married to a japanese man (and currently living in Tokyo) I can confirm that the tabi style shoes are actually a japanese thing. Actually those kind of shoes have been around for a looooong time (I have been here for a couple of years and you can see people wearing then every summer).

I love this segment. It makes me press the brakes to go shopping 🛍. You always remind me that its ok to wait another season, to wait whats more to come and to not waste my money. 👍👍👍

Problem with faux leather coats and jackets is that they are terrible for the environment. Loads of vintage leather options that are better to use. I know plenty of vegans who go second hand, as the cow or sheep is long gone and better for the environment to keep using. We will start to see pineapple and other fabrics coming through, so will be interesting to see how they get adopted.

I have to respectfully disagree on the leather blazers. I never wear blazers but I love the look of a leather blazer and have them in several colors. I enjoy hearing your perspectives on fashion trends.

I love the cassette bag but only enough to buy a dupe version.

I agree on most, but this bottega bag is everything to me. I saw a low end version of it in lilac and i just love it so much. It's kinda simple, but those squares just add that extra something to it. If I'd buy it, i would wear it for years to come, it would become a staple.

Great video..i agree with you!!! I Just sold my BV cassette chain bag. Beautiful but doesn’t fit my style.... love my Prada re edition- leather..mostly carry it without the thick strap and just use the chain...very chic and versatile.

I'm still drooling over the Bottega Criss Cross Fringe...the DRAMA!

Loved this video, I think it's so important to think about trends vs classics when you're spending a lot of money. I often ask myself do I like this because I like it or because it has a logo and everyone is wearing it?? I tend to just buy dupes if I like it but unsure then if it goes out of fashion it's not as big of a deal can donate to charity x

I totally agree on the Dior Booktote. Looks amazing especially the colorful prints they have been putting out but overpriced in my opinion. I still think your best bet is spending a bit more on the Chanel deauville. But If you want a trendy beach bag maybe the YSL Rive gauche canvas tote. A lot cheaper than Dior and boujie in a good way !

I was surprised to see the botega bag on this list bc it’s so in right now. I do agree with you that I wouldn’t want to spend that much money on this particular style. For the reasons you said I totally get it.

I enjoyed the video. I rarely follow a trend. I would have to really love an item to buy it. I adore vintage luxury in like new condition. If I like a reissue, I look for an original. I do not care for fake leather or most of the items in today' video. I did think the Bottega Cossette Bag was interesting.

Strangely you just sold me on the Bottega, Cassette bag!

I love the saddle bag but I agree that it’s a trend bag and something that you shouldn’t buy for the trend or with some expectation of longevity. I also think the Prada re-edition multi pouchette is cheap looking in person. I tried it on with every expectation of buying and ended up hating how cheap it looked.

I love the Chanel Sandals from past 2 years, they were much more elegant but still sandals instead of this Birkenstock Label Horror Design. 😝 But the new ones for spring/summer 21 are cute again with the Bast Vibe.

Love when you rip some of the designer items. Love your opinion! I am not into vintage Chanel classic flap. I really don’t get the price on reseller websites. It is a different story if it was handed down in your own family but someone else’s family . NO! The prices are crazy too for used damaged bags. And if I’m perfectly honest, the reason I was turned off of those popular boys in school was I didn’t think I could compete. 😉 So, while I sound really confident, that’s not always true!

So agree on the dad shoes ans balenciagas. I've been thinking of getting those chunky prada sneakers. Theyre a little extra but i feel they'll age well. Versus the Balenciaga speed socks I've been wanting.
