Thank you so much Jennifer, that means a lot
congratulations neil! from Massachusetts!
I'm SOOOOO glad that you DIDN'T use generative fill at 1:43:05 BECAUSE THE CHRISTMAS TREE IN THE LEFT WINDOW IS QUITE ENOUGH BACKGROUND DETAIL. GENERATIVE FILL WOULD HAVE PUT THAT SAME CHRISTMAS TREE IN THE RIGHT PORCH WINDOW
Excellent instruction. My Nikon has a setting to “expose for highlights”. I’ll start using this feature!
What a gift to the community, thank you Neil!

Thank you very much for your videos they help us to be better. Working with flashes is very interesting, but why don't you ever use a constant light for example Dedolight?

Many many thanks for such a great session. I’m now hesitating between becoming either a patreon or master flash member. What it’s no so clear to me is what the benefits are from the master flash membership
So for background you manually adjust warmer in camera and for flash you use if needed gels. Or probably as you already set WB warmer so the flash temperature will be a bit warmer too?

Sorry with the red behind them
I wish to know the shutter speed please. Are they on a hi speed sync? Re-watching from the Philippines. I hope to see some more shots inside wedding halls and another from under the sunlight couples' shots using 2-4 gelled flashes. Thank you sir for all of these sir...
Awesome! I have a question so main principal of zooming is just zoom as needed to light only what you want? Except 85mm as a standard.
@NeilRedfern
Жыл бұрын
Thank you! And yes, that is what I would suggest :-)
What were you doing with the makeup mirror in the messy room ???
Neil, do you ever have issues with the lights not being powerful enough at highspeed sync? It seems "for me" when doing this very thing you're teaching, and I attempt this during the day my lights are not strong enough to overpower the sun is my thinking correct? do I need stronger lights? as I have no issues during the evening only during the harsh part of the day.
How do I expose just for the ambient lights?
Îmi plac filmuletele tale ca oferi multe informatii valoroase...eu sunt cameraman dar lumina este deopotrivă si ptr foto si ptr video.
I have speedlight Godoxv1 is it as powerful as godox you have as speed light? I also have godox kit set up. for round head.

How do you fix the speedlight if the hotshoe breaks? Or is the whole flash stuffed?

What time of day are the outdoor ones shot at? Does the time of day matter?
@NeilRedfern

I mainly only use off camera flash outdoors from just before sunset onwards - I don't like to use it if the natural (ambient) light is too strong

Wow, i've just watched the video, is awesome. Seeing "through camera eyes" now make sense for me, and placing an ocf for creative effects won't scare me so much from now on 😂 thanks! 🫶
