As an Korean-Canadian convert-in-progress, it is great to see other asians that have made their way to HaShem. Unlike Moshe Chaim, my parents and entire extended family are christians and look very unfavorably upon my journey to Judaism. It took several years of watching Rabbi Tovia Singer to get me out of christianity and rid myself of the filth of idolatry. I wish all the best to Moshe Chaim. Am Yisrael Chai!

Beautiful to see now bushido and samurai spirit which blends beautifuly into Jewish stoism. To fear only God. That's beautiful.....❤

Once a being, created by the One True G.od finds out the TRUTH and that alllll this time one has been living a distorted existence, and we can choose to live according to the TRUTH and not coercion and guilt tactics, and we can not feel scared at every turn of the fires of hell....and we can connect to THE ONE TRUE G.od without any intermediary, etc... then one who is logical and has the sense to see that continuing in error of idolatry deepens the chasm between us and The Creator. I fled Christianity once I realized all I have stated. It's better to stand with TRUTH and experience external adversity, than to continue to live in error and have internal turmoil and a nagging conscience. I've been many times to both Japan and Korea - I have great admiration for both. As for food, my taste has more to do with the Japanese one but as for people, hard to tell as all the parties I dealt with were extremely kind and honorable. Koreans are more open, and I enjoyed very much all times I went to Korea. Yet, in what is essential, both Koreans and Japanese are great nations with wonderful qualities. תודה רבה לך ולכל אנשים טובים בעולם בברכה מארץ ישראל.

It depends upon your level of Kashrut. If you don't eat in non-kosher restaurants and require a hechsher on products, it can be difficult. My friend in the United States wanted to make authentic miso soup but we could not find katsuobushi (dried bonito flakes) with a hechsher that my friend required. If you are someone who does eat in non-kosher restaurants, you may think you are eating kosher (at your level) but others don't really understand, especially in another country with a different language so it is easy that the broth has some shellfish or non-kosher elements in it (even pork).

amazing guest.. I would note though you putting an advert right at the beginning of the video is absolutely insane. So wild that when you started talking to him and said at 1:22 "But before then" I thought oh this host is not gonna do another advert yet again is he!

As someone who is outside both Japanese and Jewish culture (but I like to study both), this is extremely interesting. I would love to hear his thoughts on the tengu from Japanese myth that holds a "tora" scroll (tiger scroll translated) LOL. Great interview, he should write that book!

At first I thought you were Japanese with the name Mikimi. But it is also in Psalms (Tehilim). מקימי מעפר דל Who raises up out of the dust the poor.

Looking further, I find Mikimi is also an Israeli TV show and book. From Hebrew Wikipedia, translation by Google: Makimi is an Israeli drama series with 5 episodes, created by Noa Yaron-Dayan , Yuval Dayan , Tamar Marom , Ram Nahari , which was shown on HOT3 in 2013. The series is an adaptation of the book " Makimi " by Noa Yaron-Dayan. The heroine of the series is a young woman, TV host and radio broadcaster , who is disheartened by her success and secular life, and finds meaning in Hasidism in Breslav .

Is Mikimi a name for girls in Israel? How popular is it? Do you have any connection with the מקימי television show?
