I hope to see you kicking some butt out on the BPT. Just so you know you have a huge older fan base. Everyone in our club over 40 has you up in their top 3 favorite anglers, except for me. You’re my 43rd favorite 😁 just kidding. You have no idea how many times I’ve heard “that kids a hammer” “he’s a hellava stick” etc lol

I have that same scale and through work I was able to have a scale company check the accuracy of it. At 2 pounds it was .1 pounds light and at 10 pounds it was .3 pounds light which wasn’t too bad but what was bad was it was off .5 pounds at 2 pounds when the chain wasn’t level up and down then at 10 pounds it was .9 pounds light when you tilt it slightly. You have to have that chain and scale perfectly in line and plum. That would explain why you have never had that scale weight heavier than the official scales. Personally I would put the fish on the cull beam if they were within half a pound just to be sure.

Mine reads under as well which is fine with me. It does however seem to under weigh accurately. I might beam fish that are within a couple tenths

I use the same approach. Same Rapala scale, TH-Marine clips, but I also use an Accu-cull manual weight recording board to keep my weights as a backup in case my battery was to die. Only adds another 15 seconds to record the weight.

awesome! for real it saves time later on too

I wad able to snatch one of those up for 29$ at academy awhile back and it would be the only scale I would use for tournaments. At 15 lb max it's more accurate than the 50 lb max scales and the weight storage/ total amount with a lit screen.....deal
