My top tips for accurately measuring your weaving!
If I were to write a list of the most frequently asked weaving questions, I think that i can honestly say that measuring your weaving would be pretty close to the top.
Here is my method for accurately measuring my weaving and for ensuring that my beat stays within acceptable parameters for maintaining a uniform texture in my weaving.

Aha! That's why my curtain length was slightly shorter when I took it off the loom! I did not release the tension when measuring. The clamp was smarter than the needle and thread that I sewed on and popped up with each new round.

Hi Glynis, thank you for another video full of excellent advice. I found that counting the picks was also really important when weaving with wool to ensure a consistent beat. Love the idea of the tape measure up the side.

I always mean to buy a paper inch tape because I have to count rows if I stop paying attention. What a great way to mark the selvesges
