AA batteries tend to leak and ruin the radios?

Thanks for the review. Great! People are going to have to get used to the batteries. These are the new thing and aren't going away and will probably become a new standard in itself. The 18650 is used in a lot of products now. Adapt or become obsolete! :)

I use a small solar panel that plugs in the USB port to charge my Battery when I'm camping, it works great!

18650 is SO much better than AA batteries...

I prefer rechargable batteries. Regular batteries are expensive and radios like this seem to burn through them pretty quickly.And having USB C charging gives you all kinds of options.

Ime getting one. For me the rechargeable battery is a plus. Charge off small solar panels, cigarette lighter usb in car. Computer, wall usb... ❤

I chose this over the one from Retekess. I now use this to listen to NHK World Radio Japan's English broadcasts at 10:00pm Philippine Standard Time. Got the Sihuadon branded one, though.

Great review indeed. Actually, you are doing a great service to the Radio and Shortwave indeed. Based on your's and some other reviews, I bought this Radio and I am quite happy with its performance.

AGC did not seem to be a problem for me yesterday on SSB. Once I fine tuned in I could clearly hear the whole conversation with no noticeable drop outs. I tend to key in specific frequencies and don't tune around that much so i manage to get around the AGC issue. Such a capable and nicely built radio.

Hello. Well as a madium wave dxer i was really surprised on what it could pull in at night. And the short wave is very good also. Agc on ssb could be a little better.but for the money a good purchase. As always. Thank you. Ron z.

I agree, I really enjoy this radio. It has a lot of fun, nice features and capabilities. It’s my #2 portable only behind the much more expensive Eton E1. For the price, this is my #1. Hopefully a “non-chuffing” version will be released soon however!

#1 for us I have no complaints with this radio.... We use it for decoding FT8 and Air traffic works great!
