============================================================
Hello everyone, and welcome back to another episode of Elevating Early Childhood!
Before we start, let me ask you a quick question: Do your preschool or pre-k students need help learning how to count and develop number sense?
If your answer is "YES!" then you've come to the right place, because that's exactly what I'm discussing today.
As you know, math doesn't come easily to everyone. Some children have real difficulties with it, while others find it super fun and easy, almost like solving a puzzle game.
However, the math activities I'm sharing with you today are an exception, because all your preschool students will love them. They're fun and engaging, and they make math as simple as it can be!
So, are you ready?
Let's dive in!
Key Takeaways:
Has this ever happened to you? (00:00)
Target finds always help! (01:46)
"No prep, please," you said? (07:11)
Ice-cube trays for the rescue (10:50)
Make it super fun! (14:32)
Keep it simple (18:26)
The magic number (21:37)

Oh! This is fun but there are so many more ways to keep them engaged. Count together as you take them out. Talk about how many are in the bowl (cardinality). Tell them how many to put in the "pond". Mary, put two ducks in the pond...etc. Also, if the water is an issue make a fun pretend pond! Love the idea. :)

Put a dot of hot glue on the drain hole of the ducks to keep water out of them (mold prevention and less dripping).

So many fun ideas here, also there are ways to age up or down these slightly. One age up idea is to have 1 kid roll and do one to one on the soup and another then show a graph of each color and or even higher level show the percentage of each color. I homeschool multiple ages so I might try this.

I am such a visual learner and love watching these episodes on you tube, however the background noise when words flash on the screen is super distracting. I can use these ideas with my grandson. Thanks for sharing!

Hi I hope you see this and can answer - where do you get your mini erasers? I can't find any that are bulk packages of one type.

I got most of them from the Target Bullseye Playground. You can also find some at Party City, and sometimes Michaels. Online, they can be found at Oriental Trading and Amazon.
