    I'm continually impressed by how charming and gracious Penn and Teller (not to mention Alyson Hannigan) are -- and so supportive, and such great sports. learned 2 things about illusionists from this show - 1) if there's a weird movement, this is where the trick happens and 2) when something is being showed to vanish, it's already gone long before and this is just for effect. It's like how we make decision - emotionally and then needing a logic to explain it. Powerful stuff.

    People often make fun of magicians and I get why; if you don't manage to pull it off it can turn out really awkward and cringey. For those that do manage to pull it off though, there really is something fascinating and super-cool about it. The presentation, in my opinion, is the most important aspect and it must take a lot of creativity and charisma. Like I said, very hard to pull off, but when it's done right there is no doubt you will be the coolest guy in the room and attract the attention of everyone around you.

    Second trick: At 4:55 he sees the card that was in front of the cards that were picked. I believe the deck was rigged and he had the order memorized. He reveals a black six (I can't tell from distance of camera if it is clubs or spades, but the "magician" can though. And as mentioned, he knows which 2 cards are next, and that the next 2 cards in the order are the ones picked.

  • @bvaljalo
    @bvaljalo5 жыл бұрын

    The card mechanic pretty much shows you how he does the trick in the prelude. Rearranging the deck to proper order through shuffling like that is impossible w/o subbing a pre-built deck. So, that was sleight of hand. Then he shows you his incredible trick dealing skills. Ergo, at some point you don't see it, he substitutes a deck with 4 kings in a location that he's aware of (all on top/bottom, whatever), and then deals the hands in such a way that Teller ends up w/all 2 kings in the hole and two on the board using his dealing tricks. The rest of the cards don't really even matter because the odds of 4 kings being beat in hold-em are such that he could do this trick every hour for 1M years and it wouldn't happen. Though if he simply makes sure that, in his substitute deck, along with the 4 kings, the cards needed for straight flushes and 4 aces coming up can be avoided, he could make 100% sure that way instead of 99.9999999999% sure it wouldn't randomly happen.

    At first i thought it was a forced pick which is also what penn n teller think but it wasn't so it was a good trick. But Richard Turner its what u called a real master just truly amazing. i knew a guy just as good as him. i asked him to teach me the skills but he was an evil man but the price i had to pay was too much. like i have to help him trick n con ppl, do crimes n bunch of bad stuff i just couldn't continue thru. even though i really wish I've learned the skills cuz hes amaing he can deal what ever cards he wants to who ever he wants, but its not worth if i have to do crimes n bad things to ppl
