    Preston Barnes so with turbo cars and some naturally aspirated cars you’ll get crank case pressure which is bad so there’s a little port that will release the pressure and sometimes a little oil will get spit out so normally when you have a stock car it’ll just have it routed to the intake and the oil will get put into the intake and burnt up with the fuel which will make carbon buildup overtime faster and so I have it routed to a catch can which catches the oil then pushes the air back into the intake. Honestly it just helps the engine live a little longer and prevents carbon buildup but it’s another maintenance thing you have to do and change out once in a while I find out more in colder place than warmer places

    Hello. Thanks for the video. 😊👍🏽 I noticed that you said that you live in Florida, I too live in Florida and have a 2014 Veloster. I was wondering if you would mind telling me about how much you spent on tint? And what percent you went with, and if it was all the way around? Sorry for many questions. Looking forward to more posts to come. Thank you

    Can I let you in a little secret? If you're looking for something more Hyundai practical but still small, 2013 accent and 2013 Veloster non turbo shares the same engine and "almost" the same platform

    So uh, about that intake, i bought just a filter, used an old computer fan funnel, clamped the filter to the funnel then inserted it into the stock intake tube and used factory clamp, works perfectly lmao.

    Unfortunately there is no big power with the veloster so there’s really no point in dropping $1700 in big breaks when the car can only make 250 hp safely

    did you get your air intake before a tune (if you have one) i just don’t want to have too much air going into the engine and blow it up

  • @ThatGuyJess3

    @ThatGuyJess3

    3 жыл бұрын

    You can put an intake on almost any car without tuning it I know there is a few that you have to get a tune or the car freaks out just putting an intake is not gonna put more airflow into the motor you would have to get a tune to turn up the boost to get more airflow into the motor. Your motor will be fine. An aftermarket intake just make turbo sucking noise a lot louder you can hear the blow off from the turbo. But if you have plans on going to get a tune I recommend getting an aftermarket intake since it will most likely be less air restrictive than the OEM one

    I been modding cars since 2002 and was a mechanic. The first mod you want to do is an oil catch can for this car. It keeps your valves clean so It serves a purpose, intake exhaust yea those are next. Not sure why people wanna tint their windows so quick. I take my car to VIR raceway so all my mods are centered around makin power. I do have flashy body work and spent 5k on mods that make more power or support more power. My mods Oil catch can Ngk ruthenium plugs Aluminum flywheel Stage 1 clutch New coil packs K&n intake Cnt exhaust Pierce motorsports downpipe Pierberg wastegate solenoid Turbosmart BOV Mac valve solenoid conversion for bov Cts-v big brake kit Racechip tune chip XLR accelerator mapping chip Boslla led light system all light replaced Pioneer head unit Jbl speakers Soon getting forge wastegate 18 min psi Intercooler then going to start changing to suspension coilovers and reinforcement thank to Pierce motorsports For me appearance is not my priority so I have no body mods so the car looks stock until I floor it.

    Is the list the same for non turbo veloster

  • @ThatGuyJess3

    @ThatGuyJess3

    3 жыл бұрын

    pretty much everything would be the same except for an oil catch can and a full exhaust since you’re not turbo charged you’re not gonna have nearly as much pressure so you’re less likely to have blow by you can still add If you want you just won’t have to change it out as often as somebody with a turbo and I would only do at most a cat back on the non-turbo just because it gets too raspy in my opinion if you get rid of the cat.

    Intakes, and exhausts are so fucking stupid. They all do the same shit. Unless you have FULLY built car like some F1 level where every pound and hp counts. But a veloster??? I just got a high flow air filter, stock intake. Snorkel delete. And just put some pipe instead of cats and muffler. Pulls way harder.
