    Thanks for the demonstration. I have practiced the magnesium starter in the past and was frustrated with failure. I will try it again to see if I can master it to the point of having confidence to include it in my hiking/hunting gear.

    The key with magnesium is to not be shy about the amount that you scrap into the starter pile. In an emergency, the more the better! Good luck!
