I can only imagine how it must have been back in the day, waiting for the next swirl to come out in the stores. And island! Great taste obviously. Thanks for the kind words also. Hope you find more interesting topics or records in my videos if you watch more
A neat selection of records. I have several UK first press Vertigo swirls that i bought from my older brother who bought them at the time. Needless to say they hold a specisl spot in my collection.

Absolute heavy hitters.
Very cool collection! Yes, I think for your channel, I’ll have to take notes! I need to get that 1st Jade Warrior!
Nice collection, Jonas. I might have one or two Vertigo swirl on my collection. See you, Nelio.

Hi. A great one to collect!! 🤓
Gracious! was the first album I ever bought in 1970 (UK). I still have it but it's been in the loft for years as I no longer play vinyl. It was and still is a great album.

I just wanted to share with you the Vertigos that I have: Jackson Heights - 5th Avenue Bus (UK, swirl) - Ragamuffin's Fool (UK, swirl, 2 with posters) -Bump 'N' Grind (UK, spaceship) Manfred Mann - Chapter 3 (UK, swirl) - Chapter 3 Vol. 2 (UK, swirl) Dr. Strangley Strange - Heavy Petting (UK, swirl) Magna Carta - Seasons (UK, swirl) Ian Carr - Bella Donna (UK, swirl) Ian Carr's Nucleus - Labyrinth (UK, spaceship) - Roots (UK, spaceship) Rod Stewart - Gasoline Alley (UK swirl, 2nd Mercury pressing) Black Sabbath - 1st (German swirl) - Paranoid (German swirl) Gentle Giant - 1st (UK, swirls, I have 3) - Acquiring The Taste (UK, spacship) - Three Friends (1 UK swirl, 1 UK spaceship) Genesis - Abacab (Dutch spaceship) - Same (Dutch spaceship) (That's all) ( I have seen 3 Sides Live on Dutch spaceship) Anthony Philips - The Geese and The Ghost (Dutch spaceship) That's all I can think of right now, greetings from the U.S.

Thanx man!
I love those Nucleus and Ramases records. I totally enjoy your videos, especially the enthusiasm, and the jump cut editing 😊. The rarest swirl I had was Brave New World, Germany only, no UK issue... Fantastic record. I was offered £500 for it (I'd bought it for £200), sold it, but regretted it a little.I have a real shop and I can't keep them all... I get quite a few swirls. I'll sound like an asshole, but if it's Sabbath my enthusiasm sinks a bit... Recent pickup was a Raw Material album on RCA Neon. Paid £500 but I'm getting £1500 in trades... Sorry to bragg, but it's good 'business" and I might buy a reissue, cool album...
I own one single vertigo swirl, UK May Blitz first press misprint label worth about $400 -$500, also my most valuable record, it’s the only vertigo I’ve ever seen whilst crate digging

Thanks for watching dude!!
Acquired a few swirls due to my father passing recently, among them are gentle giant, warhorse, beggars opera, graham bond and a pretty beat up copy of dr strangely strange. Never gonna sell but a tender memoir nonetheless👍
Hi Jonas, wow great selection 😊. I just came across your channel and you get a new follower, well just by hearing the words jazz, psych and prog rock the spell was cast haha. Got several vertigo swirl albums too. E.g., Black Sabbath's début album in Dutch Press that sounds amazing and one of the 1st version of Uriah Heep's 1st album in French Press which also sounds great.

Thanks. I hope you will like the videos in the future too! 😀 The swirl label is so much fun collecting. But it’s getting harder and harder for each year.
Very nice collection there Jonas. My local independent has had copies of Jade Warrior and Cressida ( I think UK presses)..the Cressida was only a VG and he needed £200 for it. I have a repress of Belladonna and agree it's a fabulous listen. Lovely copy of Nucleus..that looks minty. I would love to get the Dr Strangely Strange, as I'm a big acid folk fan..( maybe one day!). The only original UK swirl I have is Gasoline Alley by Rod Stewart, which is probably the most common swirl out there I guess...I just rarely see them these days and as you've pointed out here, the prices are just ridiculous. All the best.

Yes. Even the more common swirls is getting harder to get. Think I payed a euro for my Mattews and Quos Piledriver. I guess they are still more affordable but you won’t find them for a euro any more 😀😀😀 The Strangely will come your way one day. I bet on it!
Really nice collection and a great video thanks for making it. I have around 10 original Vertigo swirl records including a first press of Colosseum’s ‘Valentyne Suite’ and early UK Vertigo pressings of the first four Black Sabbath albums (they only released those 4 before they switched to WWA/NEMS for Sabbath Bloody Sabbath and Sabotage) and they sound absolutely incredible. If anyone is looking for a cheap Vertigo swirl you can probably pick up Status Quo’s ‘Piledriver’ from 1972 for £10-15 in VG+ condition with the original inner - plus it’s also a really good album.

Thanks. I have been deep into Quo lately. The first three four records is great. The last great one was Piledriver imo. Got it back in the day for like 1 euro. Still affordable as you say. Thanks for watching!!

@@SublimMedianice! Yeah they’re good solid albums I’ve been through listening to mine recently too. Oh boy the things you could pick up for £1 back in the day! The core of my Bob Dylan, David Bowie and Rush collections probably cost me an average of £1-2 each. I miss those days 😂
Sadly no swrils in my collection, just space ships, but I am still searching.

It’s a great label to keep searching for. They will pop up eventually!
Hi Jonas, absolutely beautiful collection. I’d love to get that Affinity album…. it’s so good! I have a small collection of Vertigo swirls, so might need to do a video at some point! Cheers, Jack
Really enjoyed nerding out on this. Lots of overlap between yours and mine, but I need to track down that Ian Carr - not familiar with it yet. The favorites in my collection: Cressida (UK) (Love this album) Gravy Train (UK) (Some good stuff here) Nucleus Elastic Rock (UK) (Great music too - my favorite that I’ve heard = your copy is much better shape than mine) May Blitz (German) (Awesome) All first 4 Sabbaths (UK, plus some Germans) Patto (US Swirl) US Jade Warriors (first 3) My Affinity, Gracious, May Blitz, and Freedom (trashed like yours too!) are non-swirl US pressings. That Gentle Giant is so great -- I have the WWA UK pressing, not Spaceship. I quite like the Still Life record - I used to have the Canadian, but now I have a repress. It’s uneven, but some nice Van Der Graaf Generator vibes. Anyway, lots of interesting music in those swirls.
I have a court of the crimson king vertigo only produced in new Zealand the cover is good plus vinyl is very good plus.

@@SublimMedia Backwards are more interesting than you think of. We all know that Smoke on the water by Deep Purple riff is Beethoven 5th backwards for one example...
Norska FLAX kom på UK spaceship 10k platta som är ruggigt bra samtidigt som dyr. ha ha
Jag har sett Cressida ;)
