Thank you for sharing. I am new to quilting so I have a few things but it’s good to hear from someone like you who is a master. I’ve listened to several of your videos. They help so much since I’m trying to learn on my own. God bless.🌹

When I returned to sewing after a long absence, I believed I needed all the new notions...wrong! I should have invested the time to practice the quarter inch seam allowance! I agree with you that we would all be well served by practicing instead of catalogs! ✂️✂️😘😘😘

I was out shopping yesterday at Wal-Mart and picked up some nice tools, thread, and tools for working on my new Singer sewing machine. I got one seam ripper, small scissors for trimming material, I large pair of scissors, 5 rolls of thread I think will be used often, a medium trimming pad, two rolls of black, and white material in 10' rolls, and a pack of needles for certain material (I lost one pack before getting to the cash register), and a measuring tape. I will get the rest of what I need through Amazon and I feel that I can now put my machine to use.

Thank you for sharing your notions. I really was excited about the Solvent Free Sprayer, Flairosol and not have water droplets on my garments and quilts. Great job.

Olfa makes some great quilting and sewing notions. I have a travel size folding “book” they designed years ago that when folded keeps the iron area clean as well as the cutting mat. I have trouble with arthritis in my hands that some of your favorites will soon be mine as well. Thanks for the video. BTW I love the painted hutch behind you. Beautiful work refinishing that! You also may want to try Olfa’s spinning travel size cutting mat for piecing work. It is a new item.

Great help with necessary notions and storage. I have one bin similar to what you showed that I use to store layer cakes. It NEVER occurred to me to store projects in it! DUH! Right now I have my UFO’s stored in Trader Joe grocery bags. Needless to say, I can’t see them and forget I have them. I’m going to get a few more for the UFOs and one to take to class to try and stay organized. I really appreciate this video. Thanks.

If you have problems with your wrists, check out the Martelli rotary cutter. Your wrist will be in a complete neutral position while cutting. Thanks for your info.

I got the gel pens and was totally enjoying marking and hubby walked in and told me about freezing, so I told him he was lying. He puts a piece int he freezer but nothing happened because he didn't leave it in. I then later on saw you mention it and I had to apologize to him and show him your video. Of course to this day I hear "I told you so". I love those pens. Now I have a new WANT LIST, great video!

Hey there! Do you mean the Oliso iron? They're great because they stand up on their own when you're not using them, they also get really hot, really fast and last for a long time when you take care of them!

I see that you said that you have back problems. I was wondering if there was a chair that you recommended for sewing. Because the chair that I have now is just a basic one and my back has been hurting lately. Let me know if you have a recommendation. Thank you.

You want to find something that allows your elbows to sit at a right angle to your sewing machine bed so you are as ergonomic as possible.
