I'm not sure how a Toy Story 5 is gonna work, because Woody has his back stitched up from having his voice box removed and he doesn't have his badge anymore. Bonnie's name is still scribbled on Woody's boot, and Andy already gave him to her at the end of the 3rd movie. So it's too late to take him back, unless they erase the events from Toy Story 4 to pretend it never happened. Or if the timeline jumps to another decade to when Bonnie is a teenager and explains that she lost Woody years ago, which is why Andy returns.

​@@NikolaiTedeschi4Me too, because the last two Toy Story movies made any chances of an Andy return unlikely to happen. He hasn't been part of the story since the 3rd film, and he had already given Buzz and Woody and the gang to Bonnie. So why would he be coming back in the 5th film ? The 4th movie ended Woody's story by him having his voice box removed, then he took his sheriff badge on his vest off and gave it to Jessie, so how is he gonna come back in 5 ? I'm curious as to how they're going to pull this off.

It's possible Andy didn't think he wanted kids when he gave the toys away, then years later he changed his mind but it was too late (you can't really do take-backs on a toy you gave a child!).

Toy Story 4 ended with Knifey asking Forky "Why am I alive?" and Forky replying "I don't know". I think this is the big question they are going to finally answer with the fifth film. We've also heard that Christmas decorations are alive and there were moving ceramic figurines in the antiques store. Where does this end? Are mannequins alive? Statues? My guess is that Andy's dad/grandad gave Woody sentience to look after Andy which is why he plays a fatherly role. Bonnie has this same gift. Maybe the other toys only come to life when they are in the presence of other sentient toys. The toys at Al's toy barn didn't move until Woody and co arrived. I'm so excited for the new film, I think they're going to answer lots of these questions. Maybe they'll also put an end to the Andy's mom being Emily debate too. I don't think the toys will be making a return to Andy but I think he'll feature big in the story some other way.

Just to clarify: Woody ISN'T a one of a kind doll that Andy's dad got his hands on, he's just rarer than the others (whether that's due to him being a toy made before the tie-in show, like Barbie, or because he's harder to find complete is anyone's guess), but I hate that Mike Mozart story about Woody dolls never being mass produced and Andy's dad dying of polio, he has no proof of any of that backstory, and even Pixar employees of the time say it's a bogus story.

Bonnie owns the Toys. That's just how it is. Andy only is in it if Woody and Bo, etc choose to find him. Because I don't see Andy asking for the toys back. And Bonnie would have to gift them back. I guess It "could happen" but why would she?

Hopefully we could see the appearance of the old toys from the first and second movie appear in the 5th movie

I personally like human villains in the Toy Story series because it just shows that humans can be irredeemable, create and destroy, and refuse to learn from their mistakes due to their actions as it was stated in Guardians of the galaxy 3

I’m hoping they bring back some of the older toys like wheezy, rc car, Lenny, etch, mr spell and mr mike and possibly even zurg or hell maybe even utility belt buzz, I think there are lots of actors with good squeaky voices that would be good replacements for Joe Ranft for wheezy

This user Jonathan Barnes has a great plot for this film.

The runtime of this video is 20:10, which is the year of toy story 3, which people wanted to Be the last toy story movie.

*This is some random story I made up for it a month ago:* Throughout her childhood, Bonnie Anderson was considered a spark of joy by her parents. She was diagnosed with dyslexia at the age of seven after she finished first grade, she struggled with spelling and maths and was constantly distracted by different ideas and intrusive thoughts when she was in her classroom, making her creative in the wrong place at the wrong time. Being at home however was when she was at her most creative and it was the right place to be creative, especially with her toys. Sheriff Woody, who had been helping lost toys get to potential owners with his maiden Bo Peep and her three headed sheep would on the occasion when the carnival would come to the Tri-County area, help out with impacting Bonnie’s development as a child with dyslexia by doing such things like being someone to squeeze when stressed out, leaving the job to Jessie when he wouldn’t be around. When Bonnie reached fourteen years old, Woody became committed to the job, with Buzz Lightyear and Forky helping out whenever she’d need them as well. All of this suddenly changed when Bonnie died in a car accident at the age of twenty. At that point in her life, Jessie, distraught and upset, decided that everyone should all go with Woody and Bo Peep to the carnival, to honor Bonnie’s legacy as a spark of joy. In the present day at the carnival and at any playgrounds in the area, the toys do a great job doing what they do as a travelling circus, mentally preparing toys for potential owners, and then getting them to new owners by rigging the games at the carnival or leading kids to them. Buzz Lightyear himself is a pioneer with this stuff and his performances are fantastic, but it gets to a point where he keeps manufacturing do or die scenarios, trying to pull off impressive stunts in front of his friends. Woody at this point is just relaxing and he doesn’t understand why Buzz can’t just sit still, Bo reminds him that this is the highest mark for a toy and that it’s the best that he can get. While getting a My Little Pony doll to a little girl at the carnival, Woody, Buzz and Forky see the guy running the game watching a TikTok video on his phone. The video is of three girls in a toy shop, advertising a lot of squishy toys and how much they cost. As they watch the video Buzz memorizes the name of the account that posted the video and tells Woody to find some pen and paper for him. Woody and Buzz later hold a staff meeting at midnight, with the name of the account written on the sheet of paper. Buzz explains that it’s time that the group should expand the scope and find some bigger avenues when it comes to building the relationship between a child and a toy. The toys are initially reluctant about this idea until they find a computer in a nearby shop and look up the name. The first thing that Bo Peep notices is the price tags on the toys in the videos on the TikTok account and is perplexed as to why they cost a lot more than they are really worth, the toys are on board when they look at the tags as well. After looking up the address, they head to the shop, located near Stanton Beach. The shop itself has shelves and shelves of different kinds of toys, from stim toys to regular toys. It also has a sensory bowl full of kinex sand. As Woody, Buzz and the rest of the toys examine the shop they get to know the toys in it, Woody becomes the friendliest with the sensory toys in the kinex sand as he tells them about his experience from being a favourite toy and then transitioning to a stim toy, saying that the experience was rewarding despite him feeling useless near the end. Buzz and the other toys learn from the toys on the shelves that parents looking for toys for their kids come in here because of the popularity that the shop has gotten from TikTok in the past two years and how the shop itself is marketed towards the stimulation of senses in children, which is why there is a high demand for it. When he hears this, Woody decides that the best thing to do, is to sneak the toys out of the shop, take the tags off of them, get them to a playground near the shop. What follows is the group doing this time to time. They respect the decisions of the ones who don’t want to leave the shop, but they make sure that they get sold for the price that they are actually worth by changing the prices of them on the computer that has records of their bar codes. As time goes on it is made clear that this is the film where Woody is finally at a point in his life where he is not anxious about loyalty towards a kid or being a slave to his own expectations, he is now awake and is able to feel like he is walking on air, making an impact on the development of a child. Buzz himself is in a similar position, swooping around the shop in the middle of the night, pulling crazy stunts as he’s getting the toys on the shelves to the back door. This is something that he has wanted to be, not be played with as a hero, but become a hero through his own actions. Everything is perfect for everyone. That is, until the police get involved. Because of the prices of the toys in the shop being changed, this causes an investigation to begin as it has kept going for the past two weeks, starting off as a minor convenience and changing to a major annoyance, disrupting the business. Woody and Buzz watch the police officers leave the building from the top of the shelf and the shop owner and the manager have a conversation with a customer about this. The customer gives them their deepest sympathies and tells them about their child and how afraid they are when they grow up, the manager tells the customer that she’s doing great. As Woody and Buzz hear those words leave the manager’s lips, they both come to a realization of what they should really be doing with themselves going forth. That night, Woody and Buzz rally the toys in the shop, and they have a battle cry, telling every single one of them that they should be saving themselves. They promise to follow Woody’s world of wisdom, and they bid farewell to the group. The toys look at the store one last time, and head down the road back to the carnival, as Woody looks back, he sees a number of toys leave the store from the front door, he smiles, looks back at his maiden Bo Peep and Buzz and Jessie and continues on his merry way.

@@NikolaiTedeschi4 I mean in relation to Andy being a plot point in the film my guess is that the shop itself could be owned by a family member on his spouse's side if he's married and then in the main office of the building Woody would find a certificate on the wall and a few pictures next to the certificate of some selfies of Andy and his wife when they moved to a different state after college and after looking around Woody sees a family photograph of the two of them with three kids, and that's enough of a reminder that he's doing great.

What if bunny is 18 or 19 and she’s about to go to college and they just restart the whole entire story again only with bunny😊

Hear me out. Jonathan Barnes said that the toys will be donated to the same place in Toy Story 3 Sunnyside and woody bo, ducky, bunny, duke, Billy, goat, and gruff, and the toys from the pinball machine go to Sunnyside too. And finds the main toys. and sees that Barbie and Ken are the New runners of Sunnyside. And gabby gabby And woody's voiceboxes are back on each other. And during an ending montage they see old friends, Andy's former toys. Utility Belt Buzz and Zurg. and my best ending is, Andy's son was at daycare and he wants to bring toys home and Andy wants his son to bring his old toys home including his former ones. and Forky and Karen would love to be Andy's son toys and went home with them and say goodbye to Bonnie's toys. And Woody and Buzz will say this: Woody: You know Buzz, we're all reunite again, Buzz: and we'll all be together again: Woody and Buzz: For Infinity and Beyond.
