Well... since Santa brought me a Strat for xmas. It looks like I'll be studying up on my Jimi. Thanks for the inspiration!
Hendrix is STILL without a doubt the greatest of all time. When I was a kid in the 60's, I didn't especially enjoy his music...I was totally a Beatles kid and Hendrix was too out there. But much later in life I started playing guitar because of my love for Stevie. It was actually through Stevie that I circled back and started to learn about how Jimi influenced the direction of music back when he was alive...and I was completely blown away at what I learned. I have so much respect for what he accomplished and as much as I connected with Stevie and never thought I'd love anyone more, I think Hendrix has surpassed Stevie on my personal list. Stevie definitely inspired me more, but Hendrix has a greater awe factor...I still can't believe how much he did in his short lifetime. He remains hands down and without even anyone close the GOAT.

You’re the best Marty!!!! I’ve learned so much this past year and a half I’ve been playing and it’s all from you… I bring my guitar into work and practice and was told to start a KZread channel and give lessons but I said everything I learned was from “Marty Schwartz” on KZread and it’s not possible for me or anyone I’ve seen to teach it anymore clear and thorough. Thanks again Marty and hope you Merry belated Christmas to you and your family!!
You just keep getting better Marty! You should link each clip back to lessons you've done previously. Thanks so much.

I also love that walking riff in Hey Joe.
Simply an incredible tutorial for those of us wanting to get into Hendrix' technique. How creative he was! A real fountain of guitar ideas. When we see them in this format, they are more accessible; we can see what was going on and what he was up to. Thanks for this, Marty.
I bet Marty makes a good living for working so hard producing videos. I enjoy them! Good job Marty!
My cousin, who was an administrative assistant for Capital Records gave me two albums for Christmas, 1969 to expand my "musical horizons", Jerry Butlers "Ice on Ice", and an unreleased album called "Band of Gypsies ". I was 14 at the time. I'm eternally grateful to her!
sounds lovely, think I'll learn to play them on my acoustic

My favorite Hendrix riff has to be Voodoo Child, it’s so intoxicatingly groovy.
Thx Marty
Just ordered a boss katana mk2 because off you marty! Cant wait!
In 1980 I jumped into the jimi hole. I stayed there for 6 months and came out a much better player. Great video! Hendrix had great changes also triad riffs.
The distrokid advertisement was amazing!!😂😂
Wanted to ask what pedal do You use for fuzz/overdrive (sorry if asked 1000x times, didn’t see in comments).. very nice crunch tones! Happy new year !
Excellent Watch Tower!
How about Spanish Castle Magic, such an underrated riff by Hendrix
Hey Marty, he sure was an incredible guitar player and entertainer. I am happy I got to grow up with his music. He was taken away from us too early.
Guys. Didn’t we all watch this video for the district kid ad. That was hilarious Marty 🤣

i'm impressed - i'm from holland en daar zeggen we - niet normaal - of althans goed bezig - i enjoy your video's keep it that way and i'm starting up playing guitar on mine gibson les paul custum sunburst which i bought 25 years ago for 3500 guilders{dutch money then} and now i'm gonna retry playing with my blues scale and learn the way jimmy hendrix played, it's a free way kind of style but in a slow motion kind of playing you feel the way he played and that turns me on and sets me free, and after that i', gonna analyse songs of stevie ray vaughn that turns me on although ....and i'm serious
Good stuff can you do a top 20 iron maiden riffs

Hey Marty any chance you can do a lesson on “falls on me” by fuel? That would be awesome
Rip to the legend, can't afford it yet but can't wait to get a strat!

god i love voodoo child (slight rerun)
I was thinking about why you hadnt made this list earlier today lol
Hey Marty I love your vids and would love to learn the song old love electric version by Eric Clapton!
i like that outro music , it sounds similar to the Silver Sun Pickups style
Hendrix was inspirational in the way he focused on the instrument. Playing guitar in a way no other had. Still today anyone learning guitar will study his music on there path.

How hope someone just discovered Hendrix for the first time just like I did a year ago
Band of Gypsies Is one of the best live albums ever recorded. It’s a shame there was not a film crew to document it. I mean it was New Year’s Eve the end of the 60s and it’s Hendrix and nobody thought to film it??? Hey Marty, I would definitely watch your 90s sitcom, ha! Beautiful red Stratocaster, gorgeous dark rosewood.
Would love to see this as a series!!!! Keith Richards next? 😅
I have the exact same guitar!
Hey Marty you should do a lesson on river euphrates by the pixies that would be the best
Can you do a lesson for the outro solo of back in black
can't believe I've been sleeping on Hendrix for the past 20 years of my life, I'd heard his biggest hits yeah but never really LISTENED to him in specific 'till I started getting into guitar and I've just gotta say he's one of my favorites now!
