When I started playing Azur Lane around a year ago, Dido was one of the First Ever SRs I got. I liked her so much that she ended up being the first ever shipgirl I oathed. I still use her to this day and she was the reason I eventually liking the Royal Navy Ships. I waited so long for this video ever since I discovered this channel and it was worth the wait!

Facts time: There are two Possible Origins for Dido's Fear of Abandonment, is from her namesake of the Queen of Carthage Dido and the Myth of Aeneas, Queen Dido's lover, has abandoned her at some point during his journey to establish Rome, and this left Queen Dido with a huge grief, who then continued cursing Rome and its descendants. Or... It can be from when she was Ultimately Pushed out of the Limelight, by the Pacific Theater/Campaign Continuing, her service History is from The Mediterranean, to the Artic, where she performed Escort and Support Type Roles and Missions, as a Fleet Air Defense Ship, as She is an Anti Aircraft Light Cruiser (If the AA Twin 134mm Gun that Came out Alongside her wasn't a Dead Give away), but regardless of Serving from the 1940s all the way up to Post War 1947, she was Forgotten and the subsequently Scrapped, despite being the ship Germany surrendered on. Her ability to *Buff Queen Elizabeth* stems from how the actual Queen Elizabeth II reviewed the ship. Seeing Her Reveal gave me... Red Flag and General "this is gonna be Bad" Vibes, but upon acquiring Her... My Opinion on Her Changed in an Instant. Dido is And Kind and Nice Girl, who wants nothing but the Attention of Her Master, compared to Sirius who goes for Sexual Intimacy, Dido just Wants her Master's Attention, even in small Amounts, her Headpat and Special Touch Lines are a Clear Indication of this. yes, i agree that Dido is quite squishy, some part more squishy than others... that said, if you team her up with her sisters, the dido class could be rather powerful because of their self buff, particularly Hermione, with Dido's Aria and Supporting Role, she can be rather powerful DPS.. Depending on your backline and fleet roles, Charybdis can be use for crowd control and Sirius can be use for backline buffer.. not to mention, since you are using Dido, you will be using her majesty Queen Elizebeth, so your Dido vanguard will get additional buff from Queen's Order..., 20% here, 15% there 15% there, overtime all these buff will pile up and escalate. Queen Elizabeth, Warsprit Retrofit, Vanguard (or Duke of York), Dido, Charybdis and Hermione could be a good boss fleet, while Queen Elizebeth, Unicorn Retrofit, Perseus (or Ark Royal Retrofit), Dido, Hermione and Sirius could be a good mob fleet..

As someone who likes building faction fleets, I really love Dido and everything she offers...

Dido is great. One of these days I plan to make an entire fleet around dido, without QE though given she's... Not the greatest. But yeah, the fleet I envision is Dido, Sirius, Black prince, Prince of wales, and some Eagle union carriers. Black Prince and Prince of Wales get buffs from eagle union ships being present and while it won't trigger PoW's full buff, I do still consider it a loadout I'm going to try and make in the near future for funsies.

Only semi-recently have I gotten over my feeling she was made to one up Sirius. Her Muse ver is heavy anti-air but at expense of FP/TRP I'm suspecting it coming with an.Ani event or the QO anime

It is a pretty neat looking sword.

I have her and Sirius fully limit broken but have yet to use them. Figured I would incorporate them into my future Royal Navy CV fleet.

Gonna be honest, whenever I see a new: "my thoughts on" video uploaded, it gives me hella serotonin :)

Ya know I've seen a lot of ppl ask for a ship to get a retro and usually when they do I ask if that ship had one irl. If it did then it'll get one eventually. If it didn't then it won't ever get one cause the devs try to keep every ship as close to the irl ship as possible. So with that in mind, did QE have one? (Headpats Dido cause why the hell not)

QE do get retro irl, twice on 1919-1927 and 1937-1941. on 1937-1941 the most noticeable upgrades are her secondaries and AA suites. she's long due for retrofit, heck even sandy got one despite history.

No, as far as I can tell, a retrofit IRL is not necessary this is even referenced in game, Ranger specifically mentioned never being retrofitted before, they just dont seem to do many retrofits these days, personally I would be adding retrofits for atleast one or two ships per event they were related to.

IRL does matter as much as it does for wow, not much, yudachii never had a retro or laffy both have on in game

Is there a way to possibly delete the progress of a specific server. Say I logged in and I have progress in both Avrora and Washington servers, is there a way to delete one's progress while not affecting the other's? If all the servers have progress and you log in to a new device does it just put you in one of your random servers?

I can't say I would know this, I know there is an account deletion, but I think that's a blanket deletion across all servers. Worst case scenario, just remember which server you started in or what to keep and make sure you log into that. Maybe contact their support?

The sisters are a lovely bunch of ships. Of course, Royal Navy and other factions, yes, other factions including the "GLORIOUS ENGINEERS" have their own weakness. Which is why, you either find them a good team that will make them shine or you leave them in the docks reaching level 120 without any attempts to use in battle at all. I personally would say that somehow, they are still useful. Every shipgirl is useful. Either you are farming hard on the maps that has drops for a specific shipgirl except 13-4 of course. Or you run a very low cost fleet on events so you don't get your reserves f**ked up. Either way, you can still find a way to make them work for you.

Well good mornig was fun to watch as i was having coffee.

A little question since this video appeared in my YT generals. I wanted to play Azur Lane but I was wondering, is it censored or something? just that, I don't like things with cut content.

If you play via CN, then you'll see censored content. Global and JP for the most part is pretty unedited in that regard. This is mostly affecting character skins/designs. As for dialogue and story, it's more dependent on the localization teams and they don't usually have that issue.

Honestly I get your stating that Dido class ships struggle with damage output and survivability... I counter with my main fleet of Dido, Sirius, Charybdis, Queen Elizabeth, Illustrious, and Unicorn mob fleets beware because the Dido maid squadron has no fear

It's a lot more of it being an HMS thing. I rarely find myself using Royal Navy Vanguards...I'm a bit biased towards Eagles in that regard.

@Hawk2zer0 oh yeah I get it, Eagles are usually my boss Fleet slayers because they are just really good (when I'm not deciding to go Sakura Empire or Iron Blood because I love me them waifus) but honestly of the factions Royal Navy seems to be the one that speaks to me with waifus (13 oathed compared to the 7 average oathed ships of the other 3 big fleets) so I am defenitely biased and get the most milage out of them.

Dido is, without an Abso-fraking-lute doubt, one of my Most Absolute favorite Shipgirls in Azur Lane When she was revealed, the first thing I noticed is her....Greatsword-like weapon of hers there Must protect Dido!!! At. All. Costs!!!

Dido, London, QE is a great small fleet. Throw in Unicorn or Perseus, and you've got the core of a mob fleet.

My opsi mobbing fleet features Dido, along with Sirus and Cheshire with QE, Perseus and Centaur backline... is it the most efficient: questionable... is its the best: damn straight!

She’s extremely huggable, Mabye more so than Roon... As for stats, she’s actually a decent light cruiser to use, better than Belfast in most cases I’ve found, Though the Queen Elizabeth buff is mostly useless since it’s not enough to make her outdamage Hyuuga, who is a rarity lower

Im using her in a mob fleet. Not actually a mob fleet, but a waifu fleet in Operation Siren. The fleet is: QE, Perseus, Uni retro, Dido, Sirius, and Bellona. Its basically torp planes preloaders that buffed to the teeth, Im using fully upgraded Wyverns for Perseus and Unicorn retro. The preloaders will erase many mobs. The left over, if any, will be finished by the sisters and the Queen. Those leftover wont damage them enough, that they will be healed to full next mob. Not the best mob fleet, but its Dido and Sirius in a fleet. So...

Just be sure to write down your UID if you're still playing and make sure you sign into the right server. If you have both, you should always be able to back up your account.

Royal Navy is known for abandoning a lot of their ships. I mean I know there has to be more Royal Navy ships that are still around but all I know of is Belfast, and she is sitting around enjoying tea in London...or at least trying to. London is not a safe place these days and one that even Tea may end up being outlawed....due to being "Too British". BUT that is a whole other topic and one that we shall NEVER dive into. I am off-topic. Back on topic. Dido deserves as many headpats she will allow...or her doll will allow.

Ajax? You have to be a self-hating masochist to use her. Of all the shipgirls in the game, she's the one I hate the most (with Deutchland coming in a close second). I got her just high enough level to get her retrofit for collection purposes, then relegated her to rusting in the dockyard again (after having to have her bitchy self stinking up my dorm and eating all the food).
