As a Sega kid, I still have a lot of love and admiration for this console. This and Genesis released during a time where as a kid you could only ask your parents for 1 console, and whatever you didn't get you just went to that kid in the neighborhood who got the other one lol. It was a great generation of gaming especially for arcade style games

Then there would be that rich kid that had both sega and super nintendo lol. Games were really expensive for the time too. Pretty much everyone was picking them up used from blockbuster or the local grocery store. I remember picking up rocket knight adventures for like $15 at my grocery store just cause I thought the cover looked cool and it ended up being my favorite sega game of all time.

I love this channel! I grew up on the classics (im 33 yrs old), it was amazing how these games were a part of many ppls childhoods and lives, from the dev logos, games, memories of games and playing, graphics era, slow internet days and web surfing, radio, cartoon blocks, popular nostalgic movies, all that which created expansive imagination/thoughtscapces! i dnt know know if its cuz its what i am, but 90's kids had it the best, just before technology and culture imploded lol!.. its all we had, yet it was awesome for that time! A few of my favs (ugh to many to list lol!), Kirby/Mario/sonic, DKC, MK, Zelda, classic pokemon!, thunder spirits, Disney universe games, cool spot, toe jamnearl(a little hard for me i remember, but for nostalgias sake, it always lay mixed in the game chest lol), haunting, road rash!, earthworm jim!, kid chameleon, bowandarrow, winsub, paintit!, f22 raptor, newgrounds!, Turok, sanfransisco rush, waverave, starfox, vortex, twotowers, ssbm, marioparty.. ugh have to leave fr work nowwww

@@UltimateGamerCC Lol, this is so funny dude. Nintendo only started home manufacturing here for real like in mid 90's. While Sega consoles have been around here since 1988. While everyone had official SMS, consoles, posters, games, light gun, fancy 3D glasses, Brazilian exclusives, huge marketing and everything SMS had to offer, we never seen an official NES lol (there were a lot of clones though). The only official "NES" I saw as a kid was a Famicom that a friend of mine with japanese parents had as import. Oficially here It was only SMS, SMS, SMS. I knew NES was something in US because of movies like The Wizard. But It was weird when I started to read about, watch AVGN and so much content about NES History on US, that I finally saw how huge NES was in America. I mean, It was the only console. While here was completely the opposite. Yeah, you certainly were different. A kid that had SMS in US was certainly an odd individual lol

@@3xperiment8 oh yeah, NES was ginormous in the states, and Nintendo was not into the idea of competition at all. so much so that they told 3rd party companies like Konami, Capcom, etc that if they worked with SEGA, Nintendo would no longer work with them. which is why SEGA mostly had to push out their own games for the SMS, because very few companies dared to call Nintendo's bluff.

So cool that F-Zero is from an episode of Game Chasers. That is exactly where that F-Zero came from. Not sure what episode or what convention, but guy was doing a fire sale on his stock. At the end of the convention, Billy asks the guy what the deal was with a sealed box on a shelf that said F-Zero. I think he was selling them for $10 or $20. Cool piece of history.
