It’s amazing when you realize that the “Summoned Skull” archetype is just an extension on the existing Archfiend archetype. Works pretty well together too, just wish the Summoned Skull cards got their effects when destroyed by your own card effects. Also, Celestial Observatory should’ve been a staple in this deck

Personally when testing this deck when the fusion was first revealed I tried celestial in the deck along with a toon component just so you could deck thin with toon table, and search toon summon skull since its a target for allure of dark and celestial Observatory and a dark fusion material

It’s gonna be a deck I’ll be build eventually I’ve always love summon skull one of my personal favorite classic monsters

I’d also recommend 2-3 Archfiend Commander as it’s another Level 6 with Summoned Skull’s stats and basically a free special summon that can help you get to your Ritual and Xyz. Great video as always. I love seeing your more random/obscure deck profiles as they’re quite hard to come by these days.

For an added bonus, it's also one of Summoned Skull's retrains (which is why they share stats).

I'd recommend you put a Fiendish Rhino Warrior in there as it allows you to use it for cost to then dump Heiress to search your desired Archfiend. Works great with Burning Abyss Cherubini. If it's within your budget consider running the level 3 Danger! for more consistent access to Cherubini

Nice profile. Was looking for ideas for this deck. Just have few suggestions. One, ditch Allure for Celestial Observatory. The deck doesn't really have a way to retrieve banished cards, and Observatory is straight up better; since it returns one of your lvl 6s into the deck, you'll never have to worry about running out of vanilla Skulls for Advanced Ritual Art, or drawing into both of your destiny heroes. I also suggest Archfiend Eccentrick. She can pop either a monster, or even better, a spell/trap, so that covers the deck's weakness to backrow. She's a pendulum though, so unfortunately once you use up all your copies, they're pretty much gone. Lastly, I think you could swap out at least one of the Giants for Commander. He pops one of your Archfiends on his special summon effect, which synergies well with both Cavalry and Heiress. On his tribute summon, he can bring a lvl 6 Archfiend back from the grave with him, perfect for an Xyz play. And of course, he's a Summoned Skull retrain, so you kinda have to play him xD That's all I got. Great profile again, you really helped me fill in the blanks.

I would have loved to have these archfiends in the switch game to play around with. I can't use them in my IRL Red-Eyes deck without cutting a chunk of it (although I'm always using the vanilla version and the Red-Eyes variation for some fusion shenanigans) and I always had a soft spot for Summoned Skull and his retrains, with the zombie synchro version being my favorite in terms of art. Maybe we'll get the ritual, fusion and synchro versions in duel links at least.

Just read "Starving Venom Fusion Dragons" effect because I was curious of what it was since I remember it used 2 dark monsters on the field. And I think it could work with this deck.

Can you do a Zombie World Assault Mode deck next? Works really well with a Shiranui Engine

@@deathwing9664 it's possible depending how he's/she's making the deck. Red Eyes Fusion with any LV 6 Archfiend monster from the deck, hand or field to summon Archfiend Black Skull Dragon. So you can potentially use the ritual monster on the field or just Summoned Skull from the deck.

id go for a more rank 6 turbo version ,maybe add fabled soulkius,chaos betrayer(they are also fiends) and maybe hieratic dragon of tefnuit you can special him going second and then tribute for a level 6 and summon wattail dragon from deck (or galaxy serpent for a level 8 synchro) also swing of memories or silent doom since SS is a vanilla. also celestial observatory from cybernetic horizon.

Archfiend archetype in general deserves WAY more support than it gets.

You should add more traps like hate buster wich works well with fiends.

You should look into buster blader odd eyes build. You'll be surprised.

I'd recommend Super Poly for Side, all you need is a Summoned Skull and you can interrupt Guardragon combos by Polying away the Triple Burst, Pisty, Beat Cop or Saryuja

Summoned Skull could be considered Solomon Mutos Ace Monster, as it was his main monster for the Capsule Monster Arc

Its similar in the ocg with the naming. I think konami as a whole just had name block or something which is odd. Although i could see why youd think its just the tcg as tcg in general give horrid name changes

Alot different then how I have my build. I don't use the ritual just because it's too cloggy not being able to pull a ritual spell from the deck without having to run the devirituals which keep you from the extra deck. I focus largely on bringing out the fusion by using black sheep as a searcher for poly it can also fulfill the dark component. I use red resonator for the tuner as it does summon cards like calvary from my hand to make the synchro or any other fiend to go into masterking. It also has synergy with commander allowing me to pop the monster I summon like an heiress to get the field spell and then go into a level 8 synchro like scarright which pops effect monster so if I control a summoned skull it won't be destroyed or use palab to go into the xyz. Ive tried alot of interesting techs like edge imp sabres because you can get the +1 off patchwork and get a dark monster that can summon its self to be fodder for palab getting two 3500 beater on field. Garbage Lord thats just a free summon fodder for palab, and dark World beiige for fusion component.

Unfortunately the new support is trush u can't even summon the xyz or the synchro monster. U have to be extremely lucky and u can't rely on luck in a tournament. I can undertand that is a fun deck for the summoned skull fans but I personally think that they could just make the support better.Gongratulations kiratwig for trying to make the deck as competitive as you can

Big screw up by Konami..........but I think they want us to only summon the normal Summoned Skull from GY which is a shame.........Also, I find the synchro and fusion Summoned Skull to be the most effective. The ritual is alright but I don't think it's necessary. I wish they also have some sort of removal effect even if it's as simple as destroy 1 monster on the field.

I wish they were good. Sad Emoji. lol.

CELESTIAL OBSERVATORY.... cmon... you play like 12 lvl 6 monsters in deck... with ways to search.

Obviously summoned skull is easy to summon, ir not he would be called hardtobesummoned skull

The Dark attribute is the most hated of all attributes, and recieves the least support, especially "FIENDS"...

@@i.p.freely1405Allure of Darkness, Dark Grepher, Armageddon knight, Fiend griefing, The beginning of the end, Barrier Statue of the Abyss, Chaos Dragon Levianeer, Creeping darkness, Virus cards, Dark armed Dragon, Darkest Diablos, Dark Sacrifice, Necroface, Wee Witch's apprentice, Veil of Darkness. The list is honestly huge, and while not *every* dark/fiend deck can utilise all of these cards, there is a huge selection to look into :)

This is probably my number one pick for shittiest archetype with best art. I don't care how many Arch things you bring out they can't even get over a single blue eyes 🤮 You need multiple different types of resources just to get over 2500 attack I'm definitely disappointed!
