Pro tip for the wiper arm removal - back off the nut a couple of threads, pull up/out on the wiper arm, then give the nut a tap with a hammer, don't have to hit it too hard for it to come off.

Taking the bass van to the event was a worth while deal in my opinion. Youll never be able to push it to it maximum potential unless your able to work your way up to that point. The event allowed you to do a soft to mid grade starting demo, but you already knew that there would be areas that would need addressing to ensure the van doesnt fall apart, and also makes the bass much cleaner, and deeper overall. Better to find out now, than later.. Awesome Video..

I'm just wondering if anyone in the bass competitive world has ever built a setup off a retired armored truck.... It's already beefed up from factory. That would be a perfect platform to build off of

Yea, and they're already set up to haul loads of weight because of coins. You could do the same trick exo did by stripping it down some first and probably have loads of vehicle weight rating headroom.

I’m an Automotive tech of 22 years. Next time you have an issue removing wiper arms. Put the nut back on a few full turns and hit it with a dead blow. If you don’t have a dead blow. But the socket on the nut and hit the socket with a hammer. They will pop right off.

I got to say I really love the build Bruce however the approach to building a loud demo vehicle from a stock chassis never works out reason being is because these vehicles off the line are not designed to handle that kind of vibration no matter how you reinforce it. You should have started out with a brinks transport vehicle or H1 hummer because the cab of these vehicles are designed to handle that kind of pressure. My trunk even though it was one of the loudest on Earth it could not hold up to the pressure of 162db+ Burps and everything just eventually broke hence I retired. I wish you all the luck but it's a never-ending money pit brother.

Love the build. Not sure if you knew that the Nissan NV was the passenger vehicle most likely to roll when it came out(what an award!) because it's center of gravity. I like driving and I don't know how you are with it, so I wanted to offer some advice. (not you but other NV owners)You don't want really sticky tires (unless you can promise yourself you won't break the most important rule below and only use them for braking, and not for any aggressive driving) because at a certain stickiness level they'll want to just flip the van any more intense steering input. Go slow around turns (duh :D) Most importantly: Do not swerve to avoid an accident. Anything beyond a little bit of steering input will essentially force the single tire that has the load to perform almost all the braking which increases the braking distance. That's why most truckers are taught to not swerve, but rather just focus on braking.

Amazing job on this build! Your determination and perseverance are incredibly inspiring. Having some offroading experience personally, if you haven't already, I would add another lock nut on the other end of the roof braces, without the nut to hold the threads tight against the rod, the vibrations will eventually strip em out. Congrats on making your dream build a reality!!!
