📜 Video Description 📜
One of the most common mistakes in my poker students' games is the dreaded polarisation error. This happens when a student value bets too thinly or bluffs with too much showdown value. This poker leak indicates that the range the poker player should bet with needed to be more polarised than the hand they chose to bet in this case.

    You are an awsome coach. And I’m talking about your poker skills that are obvious but more the way you share your knowledge. Your approach is high quality as you are taking your student from where they are to where they want being very pedagogic.

    Thanks for the good content again. Around 20min mark. Really liked the river big pot mental game discusion. I am really working hard the last weak to fix the issue that I make instant decisions in this situations instead of thinking them truth.

    Hi! in the First hand did you make any mention of the cold call of the SB 3bet in the BB with the JJ? Also we are human, even the undead. What was the end of the narrative? Did villain fold to the river jam or stack Jess with QQ? These are my questions. I respect your unfulfilled narratives.

  • @CarrotCornerPoker

    Stack Jess with QQ is exactly right, sadly. The cold call probably isn’t horrible but is likely okay to just avoid entirely in the vast majority of these spots.

    JJ hand you are faceup 88-QQ, villain has 88-AA, my guess they called QQ, the 8 river means he is only scared of 99 so isn't hero folding QQ. QJ your hand is good not great on the turn i check to induce.A4 I'm raising turn because a 6,T,J,Q,K, spade runout is nasty and they are likely stacking off AQ/AK.

    My guess is some over-pair/boat since after the fadeout she proceeds to say "..spots like that with JJ where I just lose a stack." I'm with you though, even as we all understand it doesn't change the theory of the play, like a bad movie, you still gotta see how it ends! lol

    Well damn, you've just sold another copy of your mental baboon book. At 34:00, when you discuss the revulsion theory, wouldn't this also apply to villain's value bets? I would expect a lot of players in this pool to check a hand like AK/AQ on that river T. This would leave the only 100% value bets at 3 combos. AA, TT and ATss. I could also see players justifying a river bluff with a missed gutter because the T skews your range further to Ax which they may try to make fold on that river. Then again I'm a station...

  • @CarrotCornerPoker

    @CarrotCornerPoker

    Жыл бұрын

    Yep it can apply to both and we have to weight up which effect is greater and what that does to the range.
