I remember back during the "Arab spring" they were pushing the narrative that the sunni rulers were oppressing the large majority of the country who were Shia. I believed for a while until I realised how powerful Iran is with influencing ppl for propaganda. Wa'iyathubillah

I look up to you because I am currently in a state of confusion about Islam and about religion in general. I was raised Muslim, but as of right now I am somewhat confused in general. However, whenever people like Apostate prophet, CP, David Wood, or other atheists or those that are not Muslim, try to attack it, and you then come and provide evidence-based refutations against them, always reassures me that Islam, at the very least is, is not what everyone wants to make it out to be. You are one of the KZreadrs I am always eager to see new content from, that provides concise, informative, and unbiased information, that goes straight to the facts and text, and not based off of misdirection, and for that I wanted to thank you and your contributions being made because your channel can become so much bigger and impact many more people like me, and InshaAllah you get to see my comment and realize the good you are doing for the Muslims and individuals such as myself. i was called a wahhabi when i started practicing islam too XD i had no idea what it meant. Alhamdulillah even tho my dad wasnt practicing at that time, he had sound knowledge and taught me that he was a mujadid of the deen. and alhamdulillah now my dad has been practicing for some time, may Allah keep him steadfast. but its amazing how when we start to apply quran and sunnah we get called this name. a true honor to this scholar, subhanallah. also i look forward so much for my boys to grow up and start growing their beards at 16 years old. im worried about it, im just hoping they embrace and love it. and i try to instill love for it in them. ya rab.

,I also discovered videos of Ibn Uthaymeen Rahimahullah on KZread,initially, my searches were focused solely on Saudi scholars because by fitrah i was inclined towards salafis my upbringing in a Baralvi family had a lots of bidati and polytheistic effect on me but Allah guided me through KZread Hafizahullah and by some books Hailing from Kashmir, where Shirk and Bid'ah are prevalent, I am grateful to witness the commendable efforts of Ahlul Hadith. Presently, at the age of 24, I have recently aligned myself with this community, comprising over 150 scholars from Madinat ul Munawarrah, that is, students of the iUM today Alhamdulillah i know basics of aqeedah,ilmul hadith,fiqh,tafsir and i hv memorised enough quran And I am sword against Ahlul biddah Alhamdu lillah in my village full of blind followers may Allah guide them and us as well. aamin

Allhamdulillah I'm 16. And I have a full beard ( it goes down to my adams apple and my cheeks are also filled) allhamdulillah. It started growing when I was 14. May Allah make us amongst who are knowledgeable and give us the righteous friend circle.

lol ... I essentially started the same manner: I was exposed to shiism after I began practicing again around 19 and nearly fell into all of its deviation until I saw a post about Hadith and it’s sciences then got interested in it and still am to this day. May Allah facilitate for me this knowledge

its actually scientifically proven that teaching people is the best way to retain information. i think reading and listening you only retain 10-15% of the information. but teaching people its much much higher.

I disagree. Many people like myself learn much more through reading. Not to mention, there's a reason why a huge amount of information is contained in a book and not a video, you can learn the knowledge from a book much faster than through a video.

Fair play to the man as he comes across as being open about his personal experiences and his own thoughts. A lot of so called preachers and Dawa carriers have actually caused more problems with combative stances whereas Farid seems measured. it is unfortunate that the heated debates between Muslims and Christian Apologists has led to a sort of religious 'arms' race and polarised certain people.

After the books you either do the following books the Shaykh has writing analyzing quran and many hadith or you can buy ibn uthaymeen books in its arabic plus it's translation so you can ready both along side. You can gain a lot of vocabulary plus Ibn uthaymeen uses simple arabic so that all level students can understand him. The course madina book is free and complete on KZread. Pdf can be found simply searching on Google

I just knew that you went to university :) because you understand the rules pertaining to writing or forming accademic papers and arguments... Compared to non Muslims of the same age you guys were like angels. I always felt my mind was foggy until I learned Arabic at 20 cos this like reconnected my brain cells or something and I started to understand everything that was previously fogged up in my brain.

A Muslim (I forgot their name as of now) who was teaching and heard a old lady pass gas and covered for her so nobody would make fun of her. I recommend Sharh Umdatul Ahkaam, Jami ul ulum wal hikam by Ibn Rajab and Tafsir Saadi. I believe they're available in english.

I want to share an idea that is actually a response to a question that has always been in my mind. I was raised in a mildly-religious family that always kept all traditions and worship but without deeper understanding or deeper search for knowledge of religion. I had this question in my head, what if I hadn't been born Muslim, would it have differed how I think and feel about religion? Islam made all sense but that was the only religion I knew. I started learning about other religions, atheism, deism and philosophies, and I'm still learning, and that led me to the only possible conclusion which is Islam, however not just the Islam that you take from society, but what you take from authentic sources with critical and unbiased approach. Then I got that other compelling question, that was when I moved to the west and dealt with non-Arab Muslims and non-Muslims, that was why Allah created me Arab ? I see it's hard for non-Arabs to understand the essence of Islam without being taught all details by someone else, so why was I created on the easy side ? Finally, I made the conclusion that it's our main responsibility as Arabs to convey the message in detail and refute shubuhat. May Allah guide us all and lead us to the best.
