It’s so crazy that those Anchor books of Carrie, ‘Salem’s Lot and The Shining costed you a fortune. Those are the base level versions of those books here in the US. I think I paid, no joke, less than $30 USD for all three

I currently own 109 King books, multiple in the mail coming. I already own all his novels, I am not a compulsive collector, I don’t need all of his short story collections n stuff. my main focus is all of his novels, everything that captures my eye. My last purchase was „Rita Hayworth and Shawshank redemption“ as a stand alone, little book with terrific cover art. I am a decent book collector I own many series of great authors like king, Grisham and many more. But king will always be the one closest to my heart, his grasp on humanity and human emotions in the midst of crafting fascinating, rich worlds for his characters, is to me one big miracle. I just “love” this man 😅

Revival is personally one of my favourites. Love the darkness of the ending. Lisey's Story is the closest of his novels to my heart, and the one King rates as his best. You're in for a treat when you get round to that one.

Oh my gosh!! Yes I've been waiting for this!!. Have you seen the new reissues hodder are making of all his books? They look really nice and they will be the editions I'm going to get

This must have taken a lot of time and effort to collect. Awesome. I have about 25 of his books in my own library. I love the dual hardcovers of Desperation and The Regulators. I keep them displayed together to show their shared picture. I am happy to see that Desperation made it into your top 10. It was my first King read, and I love it. I am going to follow your example, and read all of his books too.

I really love the UK covers. They're so much nicer than ours in the US.

It’s actually the kind of book I typically like: I love when books follow one character from childhood to adulthood, and I love how it’s King’s take on Frankenstein, which is one of my favourite books. I like the concept, I think it just really failed in execution 👍

I know this will sound weird to some people and to some they will sadly know where I'm coming from. Stephen King saved my sanity as a teenager. When i read his books i could leave my horrible home life for a few chapters at a time. If I'm honest more than a few chapters at a time. But i digress. When people talk about his drug/alcohol abuse. He's human. Mr. King is the one who told us He had a problem. He's overcome His addictions and is a better man for it. Also from what i see and hear His kids are well adjusted human beings. Be like Stephen King!

You’ve definitely improved your collection, trouble is, there are so many different editions of each book it’s impossible for any constant reader to own every Stephen King book 😷😎👍🏻

That's awesome man! I have started to collect them hard core in the last few weeks and I've got so Many in eBay lots. I buy some new of course but to get older covers its almost impossible to buy them all new. I try to get them in at least good condition of course haha I have found out by doimg this, its very hard to find every old cover that was released. So many just my favorites will have every cover haha

I'm an avid King fan, but only have one paperback of his. All the others (I lost count after the 20th one) are on kindle. I get why someone'd want to have a physical copy, but e-versions are simply more convenient for me since I don't have to carry the book around :)

@@otherworldsthanthese It's an essay about gargoyles and things SK associates with them. The book is mainly b&w photographs by f-stop Fitzgerald (great pun name, btw) of gargoyles. I'd put this in the Stephen King non-fiction category. SK's contribution is writing about 35 pages with the other 90 or so all photographs. A nice coffee table book in general.

I have the same edition of the Bachman books as you and the cover has fallen off, but I still have it, and the whole thing is being held together with a rubber band lol. It was handed down to me by my brother who bought it new.

Never realised how colourful the paperbacks are! Rainbow shelves for sure 🌈 they look great! Just did a count of mine... 73 in total, every book published so far. All hardcover mostly 1st editions. Yep, could've bought a house instead for what they cost! Only 2 are paperbacks...Cycle Of The Werewolf and Later. I just pushed "Thinner" off the shelf too in agreement 😅

I wish I owned all my Stephen king books in hardcover, but considering I'm only 41 and didn't even start reading his stuff until 1993 or so and the majority of what I've read by him have been library copies I'm surprised I own as much of his stuff as I do. Basically my personal Stephen King collection consists of paperback copies of lisey's story, later, creepshow, and proudly the first four dark tower books in their original full color illustration versions. Add to those are my original full color illustrated hardback versions of wolves of the calla, song of Susannah and the dark tower book 7, not to mention hardback versions of the wind through the keyhole, hearts in Atlantis, everything's eventual, insomnia, the dark half, needful things, different seasons, revival, from a Buick 8, if it bleeds and his latest Billy Summers. So that's seven paperback versions and fourteen hardback versions. Not bad considering.

The Halloween editions are the most expensive in the US. It’s such a bummer, that cover for Carrie is to die for, usually the covers are so unappealing

I have all his books all of them are first edition hardcovers except his early books like Carrie, Salem’s Lot, The Shining and Night Shift,those are book club editions and I have all Grant first editions of The Dark Tower series except for The Gunslinger,that is a second edition as well from Grant.

Thats literally my libary goal! Besides: your voice is incredibly pleasent to listen to, you should absolutely start some kind of podcast!!!

It's so refreshing to hear someone love Firestarter and the Dark Half as well. There isn't enough love out there for those books. I like them and I loved Elevation. I thought it was great. I just hate Dreamcatcher, Thinner and the regulators.

Most people who read Revival love it but hate the ending, but I’m the complete opposite! I hated the book as a whole but I thought the ending was brilliant!

I've read 90% of what you listed. I bought most of my King hardbacks in flea markets yrs ago. I'm also an Anne Rice fan and have a few of her books. Dean Koontz is another I really enjoy. I love your collection and enjoy your vids. You have a unique voice, your diction is wonderful and if I were you I'd be looking into narrating audio books, voice over's, announcing etc things like that. Don't waste your talent, kiddo put it to use. :o)

I have to agree...next to Stephen King; Anne Rice and Dean Koontz are good modern horror writers. But with Dean im a really big fan of his Odd Thomas series.

I read pet sematary two times. When i was 18-19 and when i was 27-28. When i first read it i cried because of the friendship of louis with jud. Second time i felt really sad because there was no hope in that book and dread and grief will torture you when you become older i guess?

I’m curious as to why the Anchor books editions cost so much. Is it because of international shipping? I know you’re not suppose to judge a book by its cover but I’m a sucker for that vintage stuff and look for the older editions when I thrift. I recently became inspired to start reading King (you’ll be happy to know I’m working on Firestarter) and when I went to check out what was at Target here in the US and saw only those Anchor covers I was annoyed 😂

I started with fantasy such as Lord of the Rings, Ice and Fire and Harry Potter, and I continued with a bit of classic literature like Animal Farm, 1984 and Great Gatsby. But I've never truly tried my hand at horror and dark fantasy, and I believe King is an excellent author to start with.
